Xiaomi MiMix2s and Ionic

Hi all,

After being sent a brand new Ionic watch because it just randomly stopped working, I now find myself with another issue.

My Ionic won't sync any new firmware update, whether it's with bluetooth or wifi. I saw there are a lot of issues of connectivity between Xiaomi and Fitbit. Is there anything I can do to still make this firmware work?

My Xiaomi is a MiMix 2S.

Thanks for your help.

Hello @Massspa3 , it's good to see you around in the forums for the first time.  Thank you for your inquiry about the connectivity between Fitbit and Xiaomi.

I'm sorry to see that you've experienced trouble to complete this firmware update. The full list of compatible devices with confirmed compatibility can be found here

If a device isn’t listed it doesn’t mean it won’t work with a Fitbit tracker or smartwatch. We routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit App, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models. A majority of Android phones running version 4.4 or higher will work with our products, however we cannot guarantee optimal performance on devices for which we have not tested and confirmed compatibility.

However, some users have been able to sync after following the steps listed in this article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? Or the steps in this article to resolve problems during the firmware update.

Another alternative would be to complete the firmware update using a computer or a different mobile device that is currently listed as compatible.

Unfortunately we haven't received any updates to be able to know when more devices will be included in the list of compatibility. I hope too that other phone models can be included in the near future.

Let me know if you have further questions.

I used to have a Xiaomi phone and gave me lot of grief with lots of apps.Notification mostly.

Reason being is they use the MIUI OS which is a heavily skinned Android with lots of other features and "optimizations". Some ppl like the Iphone-esque look some hate it.

Can try the solution someone post it here : https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Android-App/Xiaomi-Mi-Mix-compatibility/m-p/1986035#M48618

Message no 3 is what you want.

Good luck.
