brand new ionic not doing firmware update or calibration

got a brand new ionic today and 6 hours later still wont work its on and connected to my phone but keep getting a message on the app to update it so i do says its complete but the message is still there.  then the watch says need to calibrate so i follow the instructions but nothing. i thought these were ment to be good. any help woulkd be appreciated

I've got the same issue with the update tracker notification not going away, but other than that it seems to be working fine. My firmware version is at 27.70.8.0 which I believe is the latest version. However, the notification won't go away no matter how many times it supposedly completes the update successfully. My Ionic is also brand new out of the box.
