hi guys and gals..
I have noticed that after I charge my ionic I have to re input settings in the walk, swim and hike ...
the settings I have to keep re entering is lap settings or length settings.
I set it to automatic and I notice every time I have charged the ionic it needs these setting re set.
this is a replacement pebble I got off fitbit as my previous ionic froze.
but never had this issue with previous ionic..
any idea guys and gals..
or will I just have to keep re setting these settings

I think since OS 2.0 came out, the laps keep reverting back to the original settings. Here's a fix. Go to Fitbit.com> click your profile picture in the top right corner> click view account settings in the top right> The Ionic icon> then edit the exercise cues in the menu that is shown.
Hope I helped!

I had a similar problem. I wanted to measure all of my running in KM. I first went to personal info and changed units from inches to cm. I then switched "automatic lap settings" for running to kilometers using the settings for the running app on the watch, but it would always revert to miles when I was done. Seems kind of silly that this is not a "sticky" setting. Changing in the manner described in the solution does make the change permanent. Thanks for the help.

This fix no longer works. Fitbit replaced my faulty Ionic about 3 months ago, and the run exercise cue goes back to 0.5 mile every single time. Same for walk. This is extremely aggravating. Once and for all, fix this please Fitbit. It's been an issue for years and years. How hard is it to set the default to every mile.
