If it's just a software glitch then a restart may fix it. For the Ionic you restart it by pressing and holding the back and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen.
If that doesn't fix it then it may be a hardware issue so it's probably best to contact customer support. If they can't fix it then they can check on your warranty status and advise on your options. You can contact them via contact.fitbit.com
