I have the app on both my iPad and my iPhone. My ionic is only hooked up to my phone Bluetooth. Bluetooth and WiFi are shut off on my iPad, but when I open the app on my iPad it shows that my watch has synced. This should not be happening since my watch isn’t connected to my iPad. It occurs about 50% of the time.
What this tells me is the all day sync function is not working correctly. Even though the option is off, my phone is still syncing.
Anyone else experiencing this?

Nice to see that you're digging into the Forums @SunsetRunner, let me give you a warm welcome to our Community.
Thanks for reporting that you're currently just syncing with your iPhone. The Fitbit app in your iPad will always show the last time that your Fitbit Ionic synced, even though it is connecting with a different device. It keeps probably syncing your iPhone, but if you turn off all day sync your Fitbit device should be connecting just when you're opening the Fitbit app. You can also turn off Bluetooth on both devices to avoid to sync with the Fitbit app.
You will find more information about how Fitbit devices sync here: How do Fitbit devices sync their data?
I'll be around.
