Since a few days I am not able to use the Fitbit app on my Ionic. The app starts en closes immediately.

I've already rebooted the Ionic but this does not solve the problem.

Problem solved! I had to remove the device from the Fitbit app, do a factory reset on the Ionic and then add the device again in the Fitbit app.

I am having the same problem. When I went to start my workout today, I could not start my Fitbit exercise app. I have restarted my Ionic but it did not fix the problem.

You can give a try to the steps shared by @Basketti.
For instructions on how to perform a factory reset, please visit this article but keep in mind that your apps, stored data, personal information, credit and debit cards (for Fitbit Pay-enabled devices), and saved settings will be removed from your Fitbit device. Please sync your Watch before performing the factory reset.
To set up your Fitbit Ionic back to your Fitbit account please do the following:
