I've run my Ionic down to 0% battery plenty of times, and it's always charged back up and been ready to go (about 2 years, now, I think?). This time, I ran the battery down and plugged it in last night - it never indicated it was taking a charge but I left it alone.
This morning, it wouldn't wake up. I thought maybe the charging contacts were dirty so I cleaned them (both on the watch and the cable), but still it wouldn't wake up. The Ionic has been connected to the cable for 24 hours, now (yes, I checked to make sure the cable is plugged in and connected to the Ionic).
{UPDATE!!!} After 40 hours on the charger, I couldn't believe it wouldn't wake up. With the Ionic still connected to the charger, I squeezed the left and top-right button together for 10 seconds... nothing happened. Then I squeezed the left and bottom-right button together for about 10 seconds and said the magic words, "C'mon! Please wake up!" and PRESTO! I got the FitBit icon! After a few seconds, I saw the clockface and the battery showed 4%, then 6%, and after about a minute it showed a full 100%! It's been a few hours and so far, everything seems to be working. I hope this trick works for everyone else with this issue!

Same! I’ve been loyal and happy with my ionic, but this isn’t okay.

I got a replacement in September. Just got back from Australia and charged it 2x while abroad. Plugged it in back in states and nothing! Going to be extremely upset if my replacement is dead after a few months. I will also add my original charger had issues connecting properly with my replacement.

Mine died after spin class today. Spent almost two hours on the phone only to find out nothing can be done. It’s not even 2 years old. The girl told me she would send a link for 25% off. I checked the prices and they are on sale for $199.95. 25% of that should make the total $149.96. However, the link sends you to another page that charges full price $249.95 minus the 25% for a total of $187.50. What kind of bs is that. A 250.00 watch that last less than two years and then cheat you on a discount. I’ve been a customer for many years. This was my four Fitbit. Think I’m going to check into an Apple.

I woke up during the night, checked the time, therefore it was working but this morning nothing, didn't wake me up, won't turn on at all and the battery was NOT flat. Won't even charge or recognise the charger. dead 😞
