"Main Goal" not working after recent update

Ever since updating my Ionic, the default "Goal" on my clockface is daily steps despite being set to calories on both my Android app and my Windows 10 app. I have restarted all devices a few times, but still the default goal is steps and I have no idea how to change it back.

Um... which watch face? If you tap the screen, does it change? Some of them will show one of the four different options; steps, heart rate, stairs, and calories burned.

After the new update, my Ionic became totally faulty. Switching on and off, step sensor logging steps even though the tracker was off my wrist. Heart sensor totally erratic. Battery life - running down very quickly. Watch is only two weeks old. Had to send it back. 🤮

It's the argyle face, and tapping the screen does make it change. However: before the update, the screen always showed calories as the default. Now, if I go to calories and then let the screen go black, when I turn the screen back on it just reverts right back to total steps.

I want it so I can just raise my wrist and immediately see calories burned like before, rather than having to scroll through to get to it. This only started after the update.
