"data not cleared sync & try again" error message on my Ionic

Hi,

My Ionic did not Sync with my Pixel phone and I did not received notification from sms or calls, so I followed the instruction from the "Help" section to disconnect my Ionic from the App and my phone... And now I have a big red X on the Ionic saying "data not cleared sync & try again. I have tried to restart it, pushing the left and bottom right button and also all three button together, but I still have the message. Does anyone have fixed this issue? Thank you for your help!!!

Yes, I have been facing the same issue, using Pixel as well. I worked out all the weekend with different ways of hard resets and finally this morning got it right. Not sure if it was due to some planet aligment but here what I did.

1) I ignored the red X

2) I factory reset the Ionic pressing the 3 buttons at the same time, releasing the bottom left when the Fitbit logo appeared and the other 2 buttons when I felt the vibration

2) from Fitbit App I re-added the Fitbit Ionic with the usual lenghty procedure that ended with the message that not all datas might have been cancelled.

3) Then here it is the trick (I think). On the watch I did I as you said so About - Factory reset. However while the Fitbit was resetting I went to the app, remove the Ionic and then from the BT setting of Android cancelled the existing Ionic BT connection

4) Ionic was successfully factory reset without any red X

5) Then I proceeded to install it once again.

Thank you! It allowed me to have my Ionic back, but still no notification and it keeps telling me it can't update it. I sent a message to consumer service and they asked me a few question by email... Hopefully I can share what they will do to fix it pretty soon. Thank you for your help, at least now I know what time it is :)))
