My Lux shows Active minutes, sometimes greater than 100, but does not show up as exercise for the day, on either the Lux itself or in my phone on the App, but it clearly shows the active minutes.

Hi, @3Charlie_3 by design you can get Active Zone Minutes (AZM) without getting exercise credit. You get AZM each minute that your heart is raised to “fat burn” level or “cardio” level, for example if you need to climb several flights of stairs which takes a few minutes and raises your heart rate. To get “exercise” credit your Fitbit will either need to automatically detect an exercise (with a minimum session of 10 minutes) or manually track an exercise, using the exercise app on your Luxe. So basically they are two different stats for you.
For full information about AZM please see this help article . For information on manually tracking exercises using the exercise app on your Luxe, please go here .
I hope this helps. Welcome to the forums!
