Another sufferer of battery woes -- also losing steps and minutes

I also have been experiencing a strange battery, or at least strange battery level indications. They may be high, then low, then high again, then stay at one level all day, etc. I may be told I have a low battery after a full night of charging. Or the Luxe will suddenly die during exercise, despite starting with hours of charging (and the indication it had plenty of juice to begin with). When I plug it into the charger, it may say, "Nope, you're at 7%," or, "You have 76%" If I go with the 76%, this is no indication that a few minutes of exercise will not cause my Luxe to shut down, yet again. I can even attach the tracker to the charger repeatedly, one time after another, and see the battery number jump around drastically.

In other words, there is no consistency, beyond my aggravation level. What's the point of a fitness tracker if you have to stop exercising and futz with the thing? Repeatedly.

Today, I faced new problems as well. Whenever I hit 10,000 steps, the tracker would die. I would plug it in, and it would perk up. But I would start out with fewer steps and active minutes than I had before it died. I would reach 10,000 again, and again it died. Rinse and repeat. Finally, after a few rounds of this, I managed to pass the 10,000-step hurdle without incident. But then the thing started dying whenever I reached my active-minute goal for the day. After a few rounds of this (again losing steps and minutes), I gave up.

I've tried cleaning the back and the charger as recommended and hitting the reboot button on the charger. It doesn't help.

I bought my Luxe in November, 2021, so it is out of warranty. From the other comments here about battery issues, it seems that I am therefore out of luck. I like the style of the Luxe and haven't found anything comparable. I hate the idea of buying a new one, though. I'm not sure if I bought the extended warranty that I would actually get three years of use, or whether FitBit would find a way to say the problem wasn't something included in the protection plan.

@DianeMR Sorry to hear about your troubles. Have you tried removing the Luxe from your phone/bluetooth and doing a total factory reset of the device?

my issue with my luxe fitbit is after charging it, the screen stayed dark .   No idea how to fix it - anyone have any experience with this issue ??

Me too, and then it came on again after I tried to reset it using the button on the charger and re-installed it, and changed the watch face. I chatted for a long time with customer service. However, it's blinking and then going out really fast and only when I tap.

I would like to also know if there is something more I can do.

No, I haven't tried that. How do you do it? And if I do this, would I lose data, like all the personal recipes whose nutrition facts I've entered? The weight and heart rate progress, etc.?

Strangely enough, my Luxe has behaved itself today 😕 I wonder if it's slowly failing and will have good days and bad days.

I had the same issue this morning. My screen blinked when I woke up and was very dim. I tried to adjust but it went black.  I tried to hard restart but it remains black. I contacted Support who guided me to restart clock face with Fitbit App. But unfortunately, my screen is gone.
