Anyone actually happy with Luxe?

Hi, I'd like a new sleep & activity tracker/watch/timer, preferably Luxe cause it's small. Fitbit still seems to be the best at sleep tracking, however after reading all the complaints about new fitbits I am concerned xD It seems like they are all defective, or you have to sync it every evening before bed to track sleep... Not just Luxe but charge 5 too... Has anyone had Luxe for close to a year and is happy with it and battery life? My versa 1 lasted 3+ years and still hold charge for 2 days.

I must ask what technical issues did you have to sort out for yourself? Mine is giving me grief over not tracking distance as it should, I have rebooted it a few times, but it seems to have a mind of its own and choose when to track distance and when to not.

I've found that as well with my Luxe. I'm still trying to figure it out but wondering if it has something to do with interference with Google maps, which on my phone tracks my distance automatically. Perhaps, it's got to do with going to a setting directly on the watch prior to starting the activity rather than just on the phone.  Either way, it's not a huge deal for me since it still tracks my steps and cardio.

Wow, 2 days? That is unfortunate. The only time that's happened for me was when I wanted to see how long the battery would last if I set the screen setting on the watch itself to "ALWAYS ON".

Thanks for this. I was curious myself.  So all I need to do is, prior to my activity, make sure I open up the app? I will try that next time.  I wondered if there was some interference with Google maps on my phone which also tracks my distance and seems to recognize when I'm walking versus being in a vehicle. Google tracks it whether the app is open or not.

The only thing I’ve noticed is that my Apple Watch steps and Luxe steps have about a 3000 step difference at the end of the day, and this is with me wearing my Luxe on my ankle. Yesterday, my Apple Watch was 12,029 and my Luxe was 9,147, so there’s a discrepancy of 2,882. I’m not sure if the Watch is counting MORE steps or if the Luxe is counting less.

Right now, I’m counting steps while pedaling, not walking, because my right knee is in terrible condition. I have a total knee replacement schedule for the end of June. I don’t trust my knee enough to walk around the block! I had my left knee replaced last August so I’m hoping this second surgery and recovery are as “easy” to get through. (Not that it was easy, but better than what I’ve read in knee replacement groups on Facebook.) Anyhow, for my Watch to count steps, I just rest my hand on my knee.

I suppose I could just track it as exercise but my brain seems to be wired for steps and I don’t have to remember to start the workout on my Watch. I pedal at least an hour every morning at 6.

I get about a week with the Luxe. I have all notifications turn off and it’s set on Do Not Disturb. I have the auto-recognize exercise feature also off.

I'm pretty sure the Luxe watch is not designed to be worn around the ankle.  Therefore any results you get would be strictly coincidental.

I'm having exactly the same problems as you. I loved my Luxe and had no problems at all for first year. However, after the last update, my battery is totally inconsistent and I barely get two days out of it, if I'm lucky. I can see from the forums that this seems to be a common issue, but so far I haven't seen any proper acknowledgement by fitbit, nor any real attempts to come up with a fix. I'm considering buying a new device,  but it won't be a fitbit next time. I'm so disappointed because I do really like my watch otherwise.

I’m with you on this! I’ve had the Luxe since it came out (3 other Fitbits before that) and very frustrated with it these days. It used to do 5 days on the battery and now I’m lucky if I get 2 days before it is dead again. Bluetooth syncing is a joke too. I have to manually sync it every day. I use it to track sleep and steps for the most part but when it’s dead half the time, not very helpful!

No idea yet what I will replace my Luxe with. I'm a bit of a creature of habit and  I'm used to fitbit. This is my second one, as I had the Charge 2 for years before. I see some other members of the community making suggestions, so I'll keep an eye on them for inspiration. I'm still holding out for a good response and fix from fitbit!🤞

I love mine. It works perfectly. I was an Apple Watch user for six years. I switched to Fitbit Luxe earlier this year and I think it’s fantastic.

I’m SO disappointed by my Luxe, I’ve had it a month and so many issues already! I bought it to replace Charge 4 that suddenly lost ability to hold a charge after 14 months (another disappointment from Fitbit). The Luxe looks great and I like the color display but that’s where the positives end.

I’ve had multiple issues with it not tracking sleep, if I get up briefly in the night it often won’t continue to track after. Last two nights it hasn’t tracked sleep at all. This is a major issue for me. It also doesn’t auto detect my activities. Charge 4 would track Brisk Walk when walking but Luxe only lists Moderate Activity. Hasn’t detected when I go for a bike ride (always over 15 min threshold), the only activity it HAS auto detected is Swim when I’ve been no where near water 🙄

I’m considering returning the Luxe and replacing with Charge 5 but I’m worried I’ll experience the same issues. I wouldn’t recommend based off my experience 👎
