Anyone actually happy with Luxe?

Hi, I'd like a new sleep & activity tracker/watch/timer, preferably Luxe cause it's small. Fitbit still seems to be the best at sleep tracking, however after reading all the complaints about new fitbits I am concerned xD It seems like they are all defective, or you have to sync it every evening before bed to track sleep... Not just Luxe but charge 5 too... Has anyone had Luxe for close to a year and is happy with it and battery life? My versa 1 lasted 3+ years and still hold charge for 2 days.

Yep! I really like my Luxe and I have had no problems with it. I like what you get for the small size. Mine tracks great, good battery life and looks good.

Yes, my daughter is using a Luxe since she lost her Versa 3 (around 6 months ago) and she is happy about it. Good battery life and decent, albeit simple, features.

If I were you however, to remain in Fitbit, i would look at the cheaper Inspire 3 that offers the same functionality and similar aesthetic.

Hi, I have the Luxe too and I love it. It works great, battery can last 5-6 days on a single charge, connected GPS is excellent and most importantly it looks really good on the wrists.

I mostly like Luxe. It is hard to read at times but tracks well for me, hasn't had connectivity problems like my Versa.

For those who say Inspire 3 is cheaper than the Luxe, I just bought my Luxe for $89.  The Inspire 3 is more expensive at $99.

I bought my Luxe in December 2021. It was great for one year, synching with my iPhone SE worked well and occurred automatically. But ever since the Firmware Update 20001.188.58 in Dec. 2022, synching has been a mess. You have to do it manually. After 10 to15 minutes of tapping and flicking the iPhone screen, -sometimes- synching works. I don't have time for this nonsense. It managed to synch a few minutes ago, for the first time in 5 days. Battery life is generally OK.

I’ve been happy for a year and a half, but now Luxe seems to be working fine, but the syncing with my iPhone app is malfunctioning, even after restarting the Luxe. Got cut off from help chat…my fault, but when I found the right place, it had been closed. Hope there’s a fix soon.

I've had mine since December 2022 and I love it. The first time I wore it for a couple weeks and ended up with a burn on my wrist but once I found out it was because I was wearing it too tight and made the one-notch adjustment of the band, it's been fine ever since.

I like the design of it - sleek and sophisticated. I have a small wrist so the other larger watches look kinda clunky on me. I don't need a huge face anyway since I get plenty of details on the app which syncs automatically so is always up to date.

So far, 🤞, I haven't had any technical issues. At least none that I couldn't resolve myself. The battery life is pretty good. I get about a week out of it and it takes just a couple hours to fully charge it.  If you set your watch screen to "always on" though, it will drain your battery in a couple days.  Also, if you set your watch to strong vibration, and set your app to send all notifications, that will deplete your battery as well.  I'm still trying to figure out how to shut off the vibration altogether... could have sworn there was an option for it somewhere 🤔

Hi @thebond670 I've had the Luxe since it first came out and love it. I've used Fitbit devices for close to ten years and this one is my favorite. I've had the Flex, Blaze, Alta HR and now the Luxe. Really, you're going to get different responses from people about any product. Battery life is good, but I don't do a lot with GPS on it, but I use it for walking.

My Luxe worked great at first, but it’s been really unreliable for a while now. The battery life is constantly jumping back and forth between high and low. It dies on me much more frequently than it used to, but when I plug it in to charge the battery display always shows that it has a decent amount left, so it should never have died in the first place. It used to automatically sync very reliably, but if I don’t go in and do it manually now it never does it by itself. These are all things I see reported by other people on the forums. Honestly, I think I might be done with Fitbit after this. My very first Fitbit (Alta HR) years ago was solid - but my last two (Inspire HR and now Luxe) have given me tons of issues. I just don’t feel very confident that Fitbit is as committed to product QA as it used to be.

I like my Luxe. I think most people who are happy with their device don’t pop out here to talk about it. (I just happen to be bored so I’m cruising around.)

i am starting to think my shiny new luxe is  not up to the job (I’m being very polite).

I have had it 3 days, after previously having an inspire, and it won’t sync, it also says the battery state is ‘medium’.

reading all the other comments is reinforcing my pessimism.

I have always been happy enough, having not tried the competition, but this is next level really rubbish ☹️

I was originally happy with the luxe. I liked that it’s not bulky and it’s something that is functional while being more like an accessories.

I even got different bands to present a different look.

But I must say, I am very disappointed at the clock faces. Not only are they limited, nothing shows the date and time clearly in a simple or fancy or any kind of manner.

(YYYY DD MM) or (ddd MM DD YYYY) simply written and have an analogue clock background would be nice and suffice.

Much more useful than the over fancy but limited info on the selection of clock faces that we are limited to choose from (and with no customization).

That’s the biggest let down of the Luxe.

I agree. Wish there was more options for the clock face. I need reading glasses to see the tiny print so have settled on one of few faces that provide a clear, easy-to-read face. Just tap the screen to switch up the secondary info between heartrate, steps and date.

I’ve only had my luxe a couple of weeks, and so far I like the design and the battery life is great (I get closer to 6 days instead of 5 which is awesome). Sleep tracking & step counts also seem pretty accurate. Biggest issue for me is gps tracking which is completely off.

I also have the gold gorjana band and it doesn’t fit tightly to the Fitbit as others have mentioned.

Hi hangwave,

I'm not sure if you have tried the Magazine C watch face. I find it really classy and it shows the time, day of the week and date (month and date). It doesn't show the year but I guess the year is not so much an issue. How often do we forget the year we are in? You may wish to give this watch face a try if you have not done so.

Best regards

Hi meumar,

The luxe does not have onboard GPS. You will need to have your phone with you with the app open in the background for the connected GPS to work. The luxe uses your phone's GPS signal to track workout distances.

Best regards
