Band connection for Luxe vs Inspire 2

Hi, I am considering getting a Luxe after the connection part of my Inspire 2 broke and rendered the pebble unusable as anything but a pedometer. I liked the Inspire 2, but I believe it broke because I have to use 3rd party bands to make it not look completely goofy. My wrist is freakishly skinny, and the silicone bands stick out like I'm the planet Saturn. Since I'm so tiny, the device itself is the same width as my wrist, so the band is being pulled down instead of around. (This is my theory, at any rate...)

I guess where I"m going with this is...what is the connection part of the Luxe made of (where the band connects to the device)? Is it metal all the way around, or is it plastic? I'm trying to ascertain if this one would be tougher.

(Other challenge is finding a close-fitting band...any tips welcome)

I’ve also had both Inspire 2 and Luxe.  And have thin wrists (so many bands have extra material/length).   I think the Luxe is better for smaller wrists, more streamlined/smaller.   The bands attach differently, in theory much easier!   You push in/up a plastic piece/lock to release band and then replacement should be locked in place when you hear “click.”   That being said, while I LOVED everything about the Luxe look and app wise, I just processed a return.   While not the case with everyone, I learned after purchasing it and personal experience that there are issues with bands staying locked.   It was the case with me, which led me to read specifics, watch videos on attaching bands.   My 2 week old watch definitely has the locking issue.   Since it’s not everyone, I suspect maybe it affects some of the watches, but I don’t know.   I lost my Fitbit Inspire 2 due to a band detaching and it falling off (though I had it for about 9 months without that issue & could have been pin not locked in - can’t rule out user/my error).
Bottom line, the Luxe may be a great fit!   I’d just suggest doing a little research first or having coverage, reaching out to the manufacturer prior?    Not attempting to be negative.   Just sharing my experience bc I did love everything else about it.   I just can’t afford to risk losing it.
