All of a sudden my GPS and my Luxe won’t connect, which is the first issue. Now, because they won’t connect, I will bike 20+ miles and Fitbit will collect about 1.4 miles while the time and HR are correct. So, when I try to Edit the distance to reflect the actual distance, it saves for a few seconds and reverts to the 1.4. I have scoured every forum and taken numerous steps and nothing is fixing it.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @candacer.
Thank you for informing us about the GPS issues you experienced with your Fitbit Luxe and for the troubleshooting steps you’ve performed.
I would recommend following the troubleshooting steps in this article in the menu "How do I get my Fitbit device to connect to GPS?".
In addition, you can restart your Tracker by following these instructions.
Regarding the issue when trying to edit your exercise, please log out from the Fitbit app, reboot your phone and log back in.
Hope this helps.
