Yesterday I had 111 zone minutes, walked 16,000 steps and burned 2,246 calories. The previous day I had 92 zone minutes, walked 12,890 steps, but burned 2,258 calories. How did I burn less calories with way more steps and zone minutes?

@RunJenrun18 It's not off by much, only 12 calories which is literally .5 calories per 24 hours. For me personally, that is incredibly negligible. It's possible on the day you had less steps, your worked harder and had a more elevated heart rate. It's hard to say honestly. It could be anything. Maybe you ran instead of walked or hiked instead of just walked or you did a bootcamp class. There is no way to know. I wouldn't be too fussed over 12 calories.

Well another day I had 41 zone minutes and 12,000 steps and burned 10 calories less than the day I had 16,000 steps and 111 zone minutes.  Weird. And did I say I was fussing!? Geez. Don’t reply if you are going to be condescending.

@RunJenrun18 These devices just give estimations, there are limits to what they can do and without knowing heart rate data, if you were drinking or not (because alcohol raises your heart rate), if you were on your menstrual cycle, doing more intense workouts, etc, there is no way we can tell you why there is a difference of .5 calories in a 24 hour period. Take the information as approximations. Best of luck!
