Can I have two Fitbit devices on the same account?

Earlier this week I goggled if I can add 2 fitbits to my account at one time, googling this question and found this article.

Can I use more than one Fitbit device with the same account?

I understand that I cant connect 2 luxe, but what device can i connect in addition to my luxe?

You can only add older models, those that don’t have the Gallery as part of their programming.  These are all discontinued models.  If you want to use another current model, you must replace one with the other on your account.

I remember seeing the Gallery for the first time when the Charge 3 was released.  Older devices include the Charge 2 and the Blaze.  And since rechargeable batteries have a lifespan, many of these devices are at the end of their usable lifespan.

From that article, note particlularly this box

The only device you could connect with your Luxe is something not included in that text box, which would only be a much older device, which is no longer sold new, might be found on eBay or such  for a big price markup, long out of warranty, and battery probably near-dead.  So, in a practical sense, nothing, unless you personally happen to already own a much older device that is still working.

That has been a much-requested feature for quite a while, but don't hold your breath waiting for it.

I’m still confused.  I have a Charge 4 and just received a Luxe for a gift.  I would like to wear one for workouts & the other for work.  Is there a way to get both on my app?  Or is the Charge 4 not “old enough”??

@NoJoKing   Not old enough.  If you start the process of adding the Luxe, it will say something like, 'I see you already have a Charge 4 attached. Do you want to replace that with the Luxe?'  If you say yes, it will remove the Charge 4.  If you say no, it will not add the Luxe.

If you do really want to use both, it is a pain but you would have to first make sure you sync with whatever you are wearing; then add the other and say yes you want to replace, and go through the whole process of adding the new tracker, and probably best to take the other one off your wrist.  And then go through that process again when you want to switch back again.  But, if as occasionally happens, you run into delays getting one of them re-set up, you would just have to live with that delay.

Probably not worth that effort, except maybe for a few special occasions.

Ability to use 2 has long and often been requested, but I don't suggest holding your breath waiting for it.
