I’m about to go swimming for the first time since getting the Luxe. I’m very nervous about wrecking it with swimming pool water, especially after reading several bad results in this forum. The swimming pool is very salty.
In that the luxe doesn’t record heart BPM while swimming, I’m thinking to just put the watch in swim mode then put it in my locker while I swim. I have been counting laps in my head. So the watch can mark duration.
Any comments?

Hi, @LuxeFan welcome to the community, I've recently been swimming daily with my Luxe (for about 80 minutes in an indoor 25-metre chlorinated pool) I usually engage the "Waterlock" and leave the device to auto-recognize my swimming It has not come to any harm (it is water resistant to 50 meters - they are not allowed to say "waterproof") It's not supposed to record HR while swimming but does if you use auto-recognize. While you can't see the distance covered on your Luxe it is recorded on your phone app when you sync after finishing.
The fact you are swimming in salty water will not make any difference
All this is of course subject to your Luxe not carrying any damage.
I hope this helps.
Cheers
