I am trying to determine if the Luxe has a screen that can be seen in daylight. I have read a similar post that said that the "Luxe have a color AMOLED touchscreen display." What does that mean? I have an Inspire2 that is horrible and has been since I bought it. It loses track of my exercise days, does not calculate swim time and duration accurately, does not always track steps, etc. I have contact Support too many times and the problem remains. So I thought I would look at the Luxe. I do not want a tracker with a large face. But one of the biggest problems I have had with all my previous Fitbits is not being able to see the screen when outdoors. I have no idea why this is such a problem. However telling me the "Luxe have a color AMOLED touchscreen display." tells me nothing that I understand. Can the screen be read when outdoors?

@Snowbird222 There are three settings for the brightness of the luxe screen. In your Luxe, Swipe down from the clock face until you get to ‘settings’ -> click on ‘display settings -> click on ‘brightness-> top on the brightness until you get the setting you want- dim, normal, or max.
@SaratogaSarah when I have my brightness setting to max, I have no issues reading the screen. At the dim setting, I definitely had issues.

My Luxe is hard to read the time. The wording is not bright enough. Is there a way to increase the light. And you cannot see the time in daylight.

Thanks for getting back to us @SaratogaSarah, and welcome, @Snowbird222. Thanks for sharing your Luxe screen query.
All Fitbit monochrome screens are hard to read in daylight. Fitbit color screens are better, but not perfect. AMOLED (active-matrix organic light-emitting diode) is a type of OLED display device technology. OLED describes a specific type of thin-film-display technology in which organic compounds form the electroluminescent material, and active matrix refers to the technology behind the addressing of pixels. These screens should be better than the monochrome displays but they aren't clearly visible under sunlight.
Currently there's no way to increase the light when brightness is set to Max.

Thanks all for your responses. I recently bought an Inspire 3 as other reviews had shown me no significant benefits for the Luxe, which is why I was hoping that it had a readable daylight screen. Had a received these responses sooner, I might have tried the Luxe but I had to replace my Inspire 2 a month ago. It seems the Luxe might be a better way to go, if only to have the ability to see the screen in daylight.
