Can't edit exercises on the new Fitbit app

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So disappointed in the latest app update. I used to be able to edit exercises type after syncing to the mobile as luxe only track certain exercise but now I cannot do so..

So how can I track my exercise (such as badminton, Barre class etc) with heartbeat data now?

Hi,

The support team only asked me to post my problem and feedback here. They said they cannot help me with this issue. So basically my issue still haven't been resolved

@Fiiiiiii Thanks for getting back and sharing those details.

Depending on your mobile phone, please follow the steps below:

iPhone:

  1. Tap the Today tab, then tap Exercise days.
  2. Tap the exercise you want to edit or delete.
  3. Tap the 3 dots and choose to edit or delete the exercise. To edit the type of exercise (for example, to change a walk to a hike), tap Categorize Exercise and choose a different exercise type.

Android:

  1. Tap the Today tab, then tap Exercise days.
  2. Tap the exercise you want to edit or delete.
  3. To delete the exercise, tap the trash icon and tap Delete. To edit the exercise, tap the pencil icon. To edit the type of exercise (for example, to change a walk to a hike), choose a different exercise type and tap Log It

For more information, see How do I edit or delete an exercise or activity in the Fitbit app?

Hello MarreFitbit,  I am having the same issue as @Fiiiiiii.  I have followed your instructions for the android phone.  However, I am unable to choose a different exercise type, as there is no list of exercises provided.  I selected workout but, it does not allow me to change it.  I have logged out, rebooted my phone, and still no results.  This problem only started after the update.  I look forward to your reply.  Thank you for your time and assistance.

I hope they can find an answer, I don't like the new Google app at all.  I used to be able to edit my cycle rides, when I recorded them with a GPS map, it always records it as a Hike or Walk.  I used to be able to go and edit it and change it to a Mountain Bike ride.  Now I cannot edit it at all, all my cycling is recorded as a Hike!!  Disappointing.

I am having the same problem. After either the app logs an activity automatically, I am unable to change the type of exercise. This is very frustrating.

I am also unable to change an exercise that I logged myself - which is not as great a need and would happen only if I made a mistake.

I have the same issue with my iPhone Fitbit App after the recent update was applied - very disappointing ...   when will this be fixed??

Also when are you going to include Pickleball (fastest growing sport in N.A.) option to your sport categories - I really don't want to track it with Tennis or badminton or  Table Tennis options either ...

Time to look into a new fitness tracker.
Don’t they beta test these updates before unleashing them to the world??

I have the same problem (iPhone). On the latest update of the app, the “three dots” are missing, therefore the name of the workout can’t be changed in the app. The “pencil” icon only allows me to edit the start and end time. I can’t change the name of my workout at all anymore. Very disappointing

and I hope this gets fixed asap.

I have had the same problem again today, went for a cycle, but Fitbit recorded it as a Hike, and I cannot change it!!!  Also the maps now are terrible, if you can get it to record your GPS, considering Google has taken over the Fitbit, why are the maps so awful!!??

I'm really scratching my head on this software update. We can have up to 6 activities pre-set on our fitbit, and now we have no other options to edit the activities? I usually select workout, then edit it to the specific kind of workout I've done after i sync and now I can't do that? This makes no sense at all.

Has this been corrected yet? I’m still unable to edit exercise type on the Fitbit app.

Hi Sharon no still the same.  I have been for a cycle today with gps on and it has recorded as a Hike, I want to edit to mountain biking, as I used to, but it won't let me!!??

It’s frustrating. I hope someone at Fitbit gets this fixed quickly! Thanks for replying!

Based on the number of complaints and lack of response they don’t seem to be too interested in addressing this problem any time soon from what I can see…

this is very frustrating and disappointing… I/we may just have to dump the product all together if no one in Fitbit cares and is not responding to our posts about this problem …
