Can’t put exercise as a shortcut but can add it from search bar Fitbit luxe?

Why is that a thing? I can search to add a exercise after I did it for example jumping rope but I can’t add a jumping rope shortcut to my watch to flick it on when I do the exercise I just have to track it under workout if I want to track it live

Hi, yes, @wedra , that’s exactly how it works!  The basic exercise “shortcuts” available on your Fitbit itself.  On the more basic models like the Luxe, the number is fairly small - on the Luxe you can choose 6 from the list to be on your tracker.

Whenever you want to track an exercise that is not on the available list, simply track it as a “workout” as you have been doing, and then afterwards “categorize” it - for example change it to “jumping rope”.  This gives a lot of flexibility for exercise tracking - you can even create your own custom exercises and track those (but you must first use “workout” or “outdoor workout” and then categorize it in your app.

For more detailed information on tracking your exercises using your Fitbit please see this help article .

Can you help me understand how to add biking to my shortcuts on Luxe?   I thought it was a shortcut, but now I cannot seem to figure out how to add it.   The manual seems to refer to an older version of the app and so is not helpful.   Thanks for any help.

Hello @jscrapple and welcome to the Community.  I'm happy to help you with this.  Tap on your devices/battery icon in the upper left of your app.  Tap on your Luxe tile.  The Luxe holds a maximum of six shortcuts and comes fully loaded with commonly used shortcuts.  You must remove something to add Bike.  Swipe left on the one you want to remove and you should see a Delete option. Now you will see the blue '+ Exercise shortcut' and you can add Bike.
