Can you have a fitbit if you don't have a cellphone?

I just got my first fitbit and love it.  I want my husband to have one, but he happens to be the only person on the planet without a cell phone.  Can he have a fitbit without a phone?  If not... he does have an old iphone that he uses as an ipod in his car.  Would that work for him?  TIA!

Hello @sunshinydayz and welcome to the Community forum.  An iPhone needs iOS 13 as a minimum.  I suspect your husband's old iPhone is too old.  The Luxe needs a compatible smartphone or tablet.  An iPad will work, if you have one, but it also needs iOS 13 or newer.  An Android tablet needs Android 8 or newer.
