Change number of steps

Can I change the number of steps manually? I know I can remove data for one day (only the day after). But can you also reset in the morning? Today I woke up and my Luxe told me I'd walked 35.000+ steps during my night. (Guess I went hiking in my dreams.) So, can I reset it in the morning when this happens, or is it a lost day?

Hi, @Mama_Fran , unfortunately there is no way to reset the steps.  Were you wearing your Fitbit at the time?

There is a fairly clunky work around for this, which is to log “driving” as an activity durning the same hours that your Fitbit recorded the steps.  Because driving is a non stepped based activity, the steps will no longer show in your daily total.  Instructions for doing this are here .

If you were not wearing your Fitbit, and it was near a vibration source, such as a table lamp, washing machine, etc then that could account for the steps.  Logging driving will suppress them.

Having said that, have you checked to see if the steps are still actually there?  There is currently a slightly odd bug in which a large number of steps can be shown briefly, but after a short time the app resets to correct number.

You might also want to check to make sure you don’t have Mobile Run on your account, as this can cause the issue.

I hope this helps!

Yes, the steps were still there. Wearing my Fitbit at the moment. I was sleeping, not near any vibrating sources. I have deleted all steps for the day. This was the best solution. I noticed it to be quite demotivating as the number of steps on all other days looked so little compared to yesterday.
