Fitbit Luxe after a year?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi, I'm new here and wanting to purchase a Fitbit Luxe to track my steps and just nudge me to be healthier.

I understand that there are quite a few negative or defective units but I was wondering for ones that didn't have any issues. How has it been since then?

Does it hold well? Should I opt in or look elsewhere?

Thanks!

Interested in this as well.  I like the look and size of the Luxe and Inspire, but want something reliable and easy to use.  The Charge 5 and Versa would be too big for my small wrist I think.

I regret purchasing a Luxe.  It barely holds a charge from one day to the next, draining from full to almost nothing within 36hrs.  It isn’t as easy to use as my previous Fitbit (Alta).  Also (and I think this is a common problem across the Fitbit range), it regularly drops connection with the app; I am constantly having to go into Settings/Bluetooth/forget device in order to restore the connection.  For all these reasons, I would recommend you consider another tracker.

On the plus side, the Luxe is a neat look, and the recharging lead is easy to connect (unlike the Alta which one has to jiggle around before finally getting the recharging symbol).

Thanks for the feedback.  Maybe it’s best to go with the cheapest option of the Inspire 2 since there also seem to be lots of complaints with the Charge 5 battery life and connection.  I’d look at other brands but my daughters both have older Inspires and like to do family challenges.

Excellent advice.  I have just checked the two specifications and they are well-nigh identical.  The Inspire 2 seems a bit chunkier … but at a whopper double the potential charge duration, it’s a winning spec.  I only purchased the Luxe two months ago, having lived with the Alta for four years.  I gave up the latter due to a deteriorating charge life and frequent connection drop-outs.  The Inspire 2 is less expensive now than my Alta was in Feb 2018.  Thank you, Base Runner.

I keep going back and forth on this especially as I see deals poppying up with Prime Day near.  The Luxe just looks nicer and I think the screen will be easier to read outside.  But I am leary of the poor battery reports.  For those experiencing issues, do these turn up within the year warranty period and are eligible for replacement?  Are some faulty and others lasting?  Any reports from those who have a long lasting Luxe?

Hey there! I’d watch out for the versa. I have a versa 2 and I’ve spent the last 3 days trying to get my heart monitor & sleep cycle to track. It’s stopped completely. I’ve done all the troubleshooting 100x over and I’ve factory reset it twice!!! Still nothing. Very frustrating 😒 so pls just be aware!!! I’d go into the versa chats and check out others complaints! There’s ALOT my Fitbit friends!
move had my versa for JUST over a year. It’s past it’s warranty period, and Fitbit offered me 35% off my next purchase.
So now I’m also doing some research on the other trackers and smart watches.
Good luck on your fitness journeys!

I’ve had mine for over a year and I like it. Is it perfect? No. Is it a nice looking smartwatch that isn’t the size of a small tv on your wrist? Yes. It does help me with steps etc. i wish they’d release more clocks though

I have had trouble with the Luxe since I purchased it.  It seems to lose settings without me doing anything and very sensitive to the touch.  The battery does not last longer than 3 days and now I can't even charge it. I have spent hours on the help line to no avail.  Unfortunately I have had it for 2 years and it is not under warranty so I can't send it back or I would.  I would advise you to look at other models.

Hi there. I have had my luxe for a year now and I love it and I have had no issues with the battery life.

I think it’s like any of them that the more notifications and things you use, the quicker the battery will drain.
I generally get 4 to 5 days before I need to charge it depending on what I am using.

But it looks really nice, works well and it’s comfortable to wear. Personally I don’t like the look of the big smart watch types on my wrist so I was very pleased when they came out with the Luxe.

I agree it looks great and is comfortable. However every other week
something goes wrong. I really only use the steps and a few features. It
worked fine for the first year. It was a gift so I really didn't choose
this model. The one I had before was great. It is supposed to let me know
when I reach 10,000 steps - it is a hit or a miss - sometimes it does .
It is also supposed to let me know to move if I haven't completed 250 steps
- again sometimes it does. I check the app and it shows its there.

I;ve had no issues in the six months I've had it. I get 3-4 days between charges.  No issues
