The count down timer keeps pausing on it's own, not very helpful that Way.

What if a restart doesn't help?

Best Answer

I have a new Luxe. I really rely on the alarm and countdown timer. These are indispensable to me because I am deaf in one ear and hard of hearing in the other. Without my wrist vibrating to wake me up in the morning or to let me know it is time to take dinner out of the oven, I would be lost.

I like the Luxe, but the timer pauses on its own. At first I thought it was because when the timer screen timed out I would double-tap the screen to wake it up. But I've done some experimenting, and even just turning my wrist to wake up the clock display and then swiping to the right  to get to the timer, the timer pauses. Yes, I've tried restarting the Luxe several times. I suspect the problem has something to do with the automatic screen wakeup. My previous Charge 3 had a button to push to wake up the display and there was no problem navigating to the timer without it pausing. This problem makes the Luxe about 50% less useful to me.

The other problem is one I've had with all  wristband Fitbits (and I started with the  Force years ago). When I'm in the grocery store with my hands on a shopping cart handle or on the elliptical with my hands on the heart rate sensor, no steps are counted unless I put the Fitbit into my pants pocket so it picks up my leg movement. If I leave it on my arm, I HAVE to keep moving my arm to get steps counted.

One step at a time.

Mine keeps going into the countdown timer even though I’m not wanting it to and then it gets stuck there. I can’t swipe anywhere and I tried the restart instructions but it’s not doing anything.  it’s just sitting on the countdown timer screen.
