Fitbit Luxe incorrect distance tracked for runs

Is anyone else finding that the run functionality is incorrectly tracking distance?  I've done two long runs with a run club and my watch doesn't tie out with Google Maps nor other runner's watch distances.  My watch tracked our run as 11 miles and Google and the other runner's tracked it as 10 miles.

Fitbit (ALL Fitbit devices) does not calculate distance using the GPS but using an absurd algorithm that has at it's more the stride multiplied by steps calculation. In few words the GPS is used only to draw the map.

Absurd right? Despite all complains by community Fitbit doesn't care and never provided any meaningful answer or commitment to revert it's decision.

Sorry but I'd you want to track your runs Fitbit is not for you.
