Why am I getting hundreds of active zone minutes on my Luxe (recently purchased, was a happy One user) when all I am doing is walking casually around my house? I’m used to active minutes when I actually exercise!!

Hello there, @Happyoneuser. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Luxe is giving you too many active zone minutes. I used to have a Fitbit One too, so I understand the switch from a Fitbit One to a Luxe is not that easy. I'll be glad to help you with your new Fitbit device!

First of all, please note that Fitbit One tracks active minutes whereas Fitbit Luxe tracks active zone minutes. Active minutes have been replaced with active zone minutes in all our newest Fitbit devices. With active zone minutes, and to help you maximize your time, you earn 2 Active Zone Minutes for each minute you’re in the cardio or peak zones. Heart-rate zones are personalized based on your fitness level and age. You can find more information here

With the above being said, I recommend making sure that your Luxe is tracking your heart rate accurately as active zone minutes are earned based on your heart rate data. Heart-rate tracking can be affected by several factors including air temperature and device location on your arm For more information, see What factors can affect my heart-rate reading on my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps!
