Fitbit.com is showing a different number of steps to the app

Since I got my Fitbit Luxe in 2022, when I download my steps data from Fitbit.com it is showing differently from those in the app for about 10% of days. In 2023 it has different numbers for 38 days with over 12,000 more steps shown in the online data than in the app. For 2024 it also differs on 38 days (but different days from 2023) with over 37,00 more steps showing online. Portion of my spreadsheet below showing this. Does anyone have any idea why this is?

12,147 steps and commensurate calories on my FB App yet only 10,000 and some on the watch DESPITE the watch registering the 10,000 mark hours ago and then again much later! 
Did watch Restart and searched help to no avail. Very vexing!
