Fitbit luxe logging way to many steps

I've had my luxe for two days and the first day I wore it, it logged over 15k steps for the day!!! And is already sitting at 3k for 10.30 in the morning?? There is no way I'm walking that much my average was around 8k a day using my phone app for steps. 

 

How can I fix this?

Is there an actual message besides the buzz?  Does it say 'congratulations on reaching 650 steps!' ?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

I got buzzed after 750 steps today - the message just said "Well done!"

Will that be your last/only step (or maybe distance) buzz of the day?  Check what your daily goal is for steps and distance.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

I got buzzed at 10,000 steps, which is my daily target
