How do I turn on the GPS to record distances when I am out walking. It used to tell me how far I walked each time out until this week. For example, I walked my normal walk which is 2.1 miles and takes approx 45 minutes. When I started the tracking tracking for my walk, I clicked the + button on the Exercise Tile. After it located me, I clicked the red start button to start tracking the walk.At that point the timer started on the screen. When I got home and stopped the walk, it only recorded 0.1 miles walked. And what was a 45 minute walk only tracked as 27 minutes. At some point, after I start it, it stops tracking and does not accurately track either the time walking or the distance. This has been the case all week.
Reading comments in the community, I went into the exercise settings following these steps:
the next steps:
I selected my walk activity which is Walk. It opens a new screen and this is what I see:
How do I turn the GPS on to record distance and accurate time? My phone's GPS is turned on.I cannot figure out how to turn it on the watch. If I delete the app and re-install it, will that fix the problem? Will I lose everything?

Hi, @ltfrombc , you are in the wrong place altogether for distances! You have been looking in your app at auto recognised exercises. Auto recognised exercises do not record distance and GPS is not turned on. That is exactly what it is telling you.
If you would like the distances of your walks to be calculated, instead of using auto recognised exercises set up in your app, you will need to use the exercise app on your Luxe. When you are ready to start your walk, swipe left from the clock face until you come to the exercise app. Find (for example) walk and tap to open. Tap again to start. Depending on your settings, that should activate GPS to connect. Note that the Luxe does not have a GPS chip. It connects to your phone and uses the phone’s GPS.
I hope this helps. Please post again if anything is unclear. Welcome to the forums!
