Gold Gorjane band should be recalled - the design is flawed.

My wife wore her Gorjane band for the first time yesterday - the band 100% needs to be recalled.

When the band is attached to the Luxe main body, they do not connect properly and show a visible gap on one side.

Here are some photos to show what I mean:

You can CLEARLY see the gap on the bottom connection in the above pics. I ensured the connectors were pushed all the way in (they don't come loose or anything) but that gap just does not close up.

And, just to prove that this is a wide spread issue, I went onto YouTube last night and watched several reviews of this band and in each and every video, you can also CLEARY see this very same gap. Here is a screenshot of just one of these videos where you can also see the gap (video link: https://youtu.be/Zcj0AyGXGxk?t=269 )

To conclude, this is a very poorly designed band and considering its expensive cost, should NEVER have been released with this flaw................

I agree. I'm on my second band however, today -- I've lost my Fitbit today due to the Gorjana band, it fell completely off but this time, I didn't notice it came off. I'm hoping it isn't in my washer or dryer. The band is beautiful and nice to wear but its defective.

I was so excited to see that Fitbit had realized that not all of us live in athletic wear and want to wear big chunky watch-like trackers all the time. I wear my fitbit often with another bracelet.

Well, the gorgana band is 7 inches long - a standard bracelet size, 8 inches being the other. The device is an inch and a half. So - 8.5 inches total.

I have slender wrists - diameter is 6.25 inches. SO - my new Luxe simply falls right off over my hand!  I tried moving it further up my arm, which is almost to.my elbow. But it still loosens, and looks ridiculous.

Im very disappointed.

I have also had difficulty getting the bracelet to stay properly attached to the tracker.

I suppose i can consult a jeweler...and pay out more money to fix the design flaws.

A simple fix for sizing would be to have a removable extension in the chain band. Many bracelets have this - it would just be adding a second fastener a few links away so we could remoce some of the kength, or add it, as needed.

Alternatively, i have discovered other trackers that are more jewelry-like and attractive. I never considered moving from fitbit because i have faith in their products, but I'm waivering...

The Gorgana band DOES have links which you can remove to make the band smaller..!!!

Turn the band upside down and you will see that several of the links can be removed - they have a clasp which simply lifts up and disconnects from the links.

This vid explains how to remove the links: How To Customize Fitbit Luxe Gorjana Bracelet (Make it Smaller or Larger) - YouTube

Oh my gosh! Thank you! I feel so silly. I had seen one clasp, and not
the second.
I have removed the extra piece and will give it a go! I let me distress
cloud my vision.

Gratefully, Pam

I'm on my 3rd band & lost this last one within 3 hours of getting the last one. So frustrated, as spent more money to get this beautiful band & they are beautiful. But between the 3 bands, it's fell off 8x. Mine will clip on, but like your wife's, it gaps open after any movement. I tried to chat & they keep wanting a video of me fastening it, like I'm the one not doing it right. And I can not video tape myself, as I do not have enough hands. The plastic band that comes with it, stays tight & never comes off. I'd like the extra money back that I paid for this thing, as I've had to wear the plastic band far more than the gold one. I'm tempted to super glue the dumb thing! I'm sure that would negate any warranty, but they sure aren't able to fix the problem.

I agree with your response. The flaw is in the fasteners. I sent a series
of pics and with detailed explanations. They sent me a regular diluvone
band instead of tge gold bracelet band. I had several conversations, and no
one heloed, or even Dmittex the design is poor.

I now just wear a regular band. I actually like my Ulta 2 better and wear
that at times.

I dont need a thousand features. Iike steps, miles, and heart rate.

I am giving up on Fitbit.

I dont like to wear a tracker that is clunky or looks like I'm chronically
dashing out for a walk or gym workout. I want an attractive tracker that
looks like jewelry.

I am now looking at Bellabeat trackers. They are quite attractive, but I'm
not ready to buy yet another tracker. I also watch for new products on the
market.

Thank you for writing, and I wish you health and happiness.
