Gorjana Bracelet on Luxe

Don't buy the Gorjana bracelet if you are going to wear it frequently.

Loved my new Luxe and liked the Gorjana bracelet because I have a more formal/professional lifestyle. Have been wearing it for less than 45 days and only removed it to charge (approximately 15 times). Unfortunately, about 10 days ago I started noticing problems with the clasp coming undone during the day for no apparent reason. I also had a problem with the link at the watch snagging on an elastic jacket wristband and coming off.  The first four times, I caught it.  Unfortunately, Thursday while I was out shopping, the clasp opened and the Luxe fell off.  I'm out $200 bucks, but someone who does not walk much is pretty happy because my link shows I have been taking steps the last two days.

Guess I am not meant to be a fitbit user.

Given how quickly the clasp stopped holding firm, I suspect there are or will be many people who have this problem. Thank you for responding so Fitbit staff can see this is a problem and other clients can be aware of the potential problem.

The same applies to the Stainless Steel Mesh Band sold by Fitbit as an accessory. Within hours of my wife first wearing her new Luxe with this band attached, it had fallen off her wrist twice. Initially, we couldn’t work out why but the following day, she was sat in a metal chair and reached down to pick something up up and as she raised her arm, the Luxe fell off again. It was then we worked what had happened. The band has a magnetic clasp and it had been attracted to the chair leg and as my wife raised her arm, the clasp was pulled apart and the Luxe fell off.

I don’t want a new bracelet. The design is deeply flawed. All I want is my money back and that’s proving difficult. I see they’re now selling the same bracelets at a greatly reduced price. Why? Is it because they know they’re not fit for purpose and have a big stock of them that they want to get rid of them or am I being cynical !!!

......how can the band just fall off??!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also have the mesh band (bought it for my wife) - the magnet is VERY strong so there is no way it can fall off without the person knowing??!

You think so? I hope you don’t find out the hard (or expensive) way that it can and probably will at some time

Feel you. If it makes you feel any better, they won't replace my broken Luxe even though they acknowledged it as a factory malfunction. I also appear to be out $200. And I am done with Fitbit.

Last night at dinner, my gorjana band totally fell apart.  It also kept coming off where it hooked to the fitbit.  During those times, I felt it before I lost it.  After reading all of the previous years posts I realize that I am going to be out the $100 I spend on the band.  Thank goodness I didn't lose the fitbit as it was a gift from my significant other.  I really dislike the rubberized band that came with it, though as it irritates my wrist.

Same thing happened to me. Usually I realize when it has detached. Unfortunately, the last time it came apart, it fell to the pavement and one of the links in the band broke into two pieces. While I love the look of the Luxe, I’ve had so many problems with the band detaching from where it connects to the Fitbit.
