Gorjana Luxe Bracelet doesn't attach flush to Fitbit

Bought a gorjana Luxe for my wife and it looks gorgeous but the bracelet doesn't connect flush with the Fitbit device. It leaves a sharpish edge that could catch on things. Is this normal? Would be a perfect device if not for this little quirk.

I agree!  Mine fell off and was never found again.  The Gorjana link is a flawed product, and Fitbit will take no responsibility for this!  That 35% discount they offered is no discount at all.  COSTCO, Target, and others offer the Luxe at lower prices!!!  I guess Fitbit really doesnycare about their customers…it’s just lip service.

Hi twopercent

Did you buy the luxe black strap and then the gorjana bracelet separate to attach? does that look ok with the black casing and silver bracelet? I’m about to purchase but worried it won’t look nice!

I purchased the Gorjana Luxe set. But honestly, I think it would still look great. I mix my metals all the time! I am currently wearing a bracelet with gold beads and silver letters. 😊

I noticed mine can look a little loose sometimes. If I apply a small amount of pressure to it that has helped push it in the rest of the way. I haven't had it catch on anything, though mine isn't coming out far enough that I think it could.

Mine is the same - did you ever get a resolution from fitbit for this?

Best Answer
I haven’t, and I have had mine just randomly fall off while walking across the kitchen one day. So that is a bit concerning.

Hi! No I purchased the gorjana edition that comes with the pink band and gold gorjana bracelet. The pink bracelet connects very flush without issue, but once switching to the gorjana it was not able to connect flush.

I have not heard anything from Fitbit yet though I have not made any contact other than this post to see if it's a widespread issue. I'd like to get a replacement band but sounds like the same issue will occur 😞

Same issue here

I have reported to Fitbit but have not had resolution.  At this point, I think it needs to be returned as it appears to be a faulty design.  If I get a response, I will post it.  No issues with the pink band on my end either; it's just the clasp on the gorjana doesn't stay flush and eventually, it wiggles loose and the bracelet falls off.

I agree, likely a faulty design. I didn’t purchase for the lilac band, and won’t ever wear it, so I will be returning as well.

The sleep tracking is very inaccurate for me as well, which was a major reason for my purchase. Since it is so inaccurate, it is pretty useless unfortunately. Definitely a bummer, since it’s very pretty and I really like how much slimmer it is.

Try contacting them again. I did and they will send me a replacement to try I hope so maybe try again and see what they say

Same here.  Really sucks because I really like how it looks!

Same here - pink fits perfectly, gorjana comes out a bit on both sides of the device. It hasn't fallen off...yet.....

Exactly the same with the steel mesh band. Does not sit flush at all- gap of around 1mm both sides and the strap parts wobble around until they fall out.

Only reason I bought the Luxe as I loved the silver band. 😞

And I can't seem to be able to send it back 😞

Hope you all have better luck!

It took about a week for Fitbit to get back to me about returning my Fitbit Luxe which isn’t fitting properly to the silver mesh band (their form didn’t allow for my colour). I am just waiting for their courier to collect it. Frustrated I will be without a Fitbit for a week or so now.

Same. I am concerned about the poor connection between the gorjana link bracelet and the device. I haven’t had it fall off, but I feel it’s just on the verge all the time. I can’t really enjoy it because I feel like I'm just waiting for disaster.

I, too, do not have this problem with the silicone bands.

Is this just normal for all the metal attachments? Or should I be making a complaint/return/exchange??

Best Answer
Since the Luxe is new, I don’t know about all metal attachments, but have read that the silver mesh band has the same issue. I have worn the same after market metal band on my Alta for years, so it is definitely disappointing that one that cost so much more doesn’t fit properly when it was sold with the Fitbit.

I haven’t had a response regarding the sleep tracking or bracelet. I only received a “thank you for your suggestion” after talking to customer service. So I need to take the steps to return it at this point since I haven’t been wearing it anyway.

I asked this when I complained to customer service. They indicated they would send me a new Luxe that wouldn’t have the issue. It was a surprise as I had assumed the issue was with the mesh band.

Hoping to hear about this issue too. Looking to update from my alta HR to luxe however hesitant because this issue with the luxe bands. I do not wear any rubber Bands as i find them unconfortable and plan on only wearing them with the link and or mesh bracelet for the luxe aswell. I only wear my alta with the Milanese Bands, only Bands i can sleep with.

if is likely that fitbit will make adjustments to the design or is it - it is what it is??

I contacted customer service by phone and they will exchange it because it's part of the guarantee. Waiting for the return label now.

Wow, good to know! I wonder why I wasn’t told that when I called? I did have a couple of other questions too , since I had also asked if I could switch to Simplified Sleep Details with the Luxe at the same time. They are FAR more accurate in regards to how much sleep I am getting (backed by actual sleep testing) than the more detailed tracking the Luxe gives. Those results are definitely not for people with certain sleep disorders.

I am debating keeping the Luxe if the band issue can be fixed, and possibly just wearing my Alta at night if the Luxe can’t calculate the sleep correctly. That could be an option for me, since I like the look of the Luxe so much better! Thanks for the info!!
