HRV extreme fluctuations

I don't know if anyone else experiences this but my HRV goes from 30 to 110 within one week time. I had a look at the past 90 days and it seems that I always experience extreme fluctuations in HRV. Wondering whether this is "normal" or what it could mean?thumbnail_image0 (1).jpgthumbnail_image1.jpg

@jfbr  Welcome! This could mean anything. Alcohol, poor sleep, being sick, allergies, if you're a woman with a mensuration cycle, etc.

I look at my resting heart rate in addition to my HRV. Is my RHR higher than usual? And my HRV took a dip? That could mean I'm getting a little sick or not feeling well. Was I drinking the night before and had poor sleep? So it's good to look at everything as a whole and also keep in mind how you are feeling. I had a dip in HRV this week along with an elevated RHR and I also had a scratchy throat. The next day HRV went back to normal and I felt a little better. So I take everything into consideration when looking at the metrics.

It's important to remember they are just estimates and these are not medical devices. If you have genuine concerns, please contact your physician.
