Heart rate frequently going over 200.. could it be an error?

So i’ve had my luxe since May 2022 and recently within the past couple of months my fitbit is telling me my heart rate is going over 200 when I check my zone minutes. It has been happening about once a week and I have never seen this before. I was not exercising during any of these times. I have a medical condition called POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) as well as Orthostatic Hypotension but I have never had a heart rate over 160 (at least from what i’ve seen) and even going that high is uncommon for me. I mostly use my Fitbit to monitor my health and I am not able to exercise much at all so these readings shouldn’t be happening.

I figured this must be an error so I did a deep dive on google and couldn’t find anyone else with this issue. Does anyone know if this could just be an error with the luxe?

@SunsetRunner You could try restarting your Luxe to see if that solves the issue. If you continue to have these readings, however, I'd recommend making an appointment with your doctor to be safe.

Good morning,

I believe I also have pots ( I’ve existed with it my whole life with no diagnosis) but yet to be diagnosed, however my heart rate spike for no reason also and I am currently being investigated by cardiologist who thinks I have sinus tachycardia.. so perhaps you also have some kind of tachycardia too? Like you I am not exercising when I hit 170 just standing in my kitchen doing nothing. I’ve had 7 ambulances out since November which has prompted my docs and cardiology to investigate however ‘Covid’ has made the waiting time substantial.. I’m talking 48 weeks till I can have a 4 week ecg fitted. Get back to your doc and get the ball rolling so to speak as waiting times are absolutely crazy. Good luck!
