Hi @wilful611  the Luxe has no altimeter, so it can't recognize flights of stairs. There is no way to manually add them on any Fitbit, even those with an altimeter.

thanks for the info. However, I will say that my stairwells were always visible on my dashboard on the charge 4 that just broke. And on my charge 2 before that.

The Charge series have the altimeter, which the Luxe does not, so it would have shown on the app. I hope you enjoy your Luxe.

Ok, thanks. So far, so good on the Luxe; I just hope the little attachment thingy part where you change bands is better made than on the charge 4. That one was too flimsy and broke 3 times before I gave up on superglue and bought this Luxe.

Thank you for the explanation.

I very much miss the  counting  of stairs in the Luxe!. This makes the luxe less luxe than the Charge 2 iwhich I had before ...

@Vivian.v.Z.   My daughter's Charge 2 is still going strong.  But she is very unhappy that Fitbit didn't put the altimeter in the Luxe or the Charge 5.  I agree with all users who are unhappy with Fitbit's decision.

Unfortunately, not having the altimeter feature subtly discourages that type of exercise; I am already feeling it as I spent 1 afternoon kneeling and weeding after not doing my stairwells as I knew they would not be recorded anyway.  😑
