How do I see the time on Luxe during exercise?

Hi.  I would like to check my CLOCK by returning to the CLOCK screen while in exercise mode (run, workout, etc.)   I cannot seem to do this by double-tapping.  Is there a way?  Or do you need to stop your exercise timer each time you want to access the CLOCK screen?

Hi @RKI. It's good to see you again.

You're welcome and thanks to you for following the steps suggested above. Let me share that during your exercise tracking, you can tap the middle of your Luxe screen to scroll through your real-time stats along with the time. However, you'll only see your workout summary if the exercise is paused.

I'm sorry for this inconvenience and my best advice is to share this idea about including the current time in the summary screen in the Feature Suggestions board. That way, our developers can take it into consideration for new updates or product development. To learn more about this board, see our FAQs.

Hello @RKI and welcome to the Help forum.  I don't have a Luxe on my account right now, but Fitbit has a consistent feature in the exercise mode.  The screen has a top, middle and bottom stat.  You can tap/scroll through the middle stat to see a variety of stats.  In addition to steps, distance, pace, elapsed time, and others, there is a current time.  I'm confident that this is on the Luxe, too.

Thank you LZeeW.  I have not used other Fitbits but unfortunately, Luxe doesn't show the current time in exercise mode... It does show other stats like steps, distance, pace, elapsed time, etc... but not the current time, which for me is a little inconvenient.

@RKI   I am very surprised that the current time isn't one of the middle stats.  The Luxe manual doesn't have any more information about the middle stat.  I will flag this post to get a moderator to clarify.

Welcome, @RKI. It's nice to see a new face around. @LZeeW Thanks for the heads up and your great help!

@RKI Thanks for the details provided, as well as your efforts while working on this matter. Please let me explain that it's not possible to return to the clock face while tracking an activity with the Exercise App. You'll need to finish your activity first in order to navigate your Luxe screens.

On the other hand, during the exercise tracking you can tap on the screen to scroll through your real-time stats. For Run you can see your distance, pace, pace average, heart rate, calories, steps, current time, duration and Active Zone Minutes. It's odd that the current time isn't displayed and to work on this, let me recommend the following:

  1. Forget your Luxe from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Restart your Luxe to refresh its performance.
  3. Open the Fitbit app and pull down on the screen to force a manual sync.
  4. Use the Exercise app to track your run or any other activity to test your tracker.

Hi @LizzyFitbit , thank you for your advice.  Understood that you are not able to return to the clock face - good to know so thank you.

However, I am still not able to see "current time" in Exercise Mode on my Luxe device.  I followed your steps from 1 to 4, and also updated the firmware, but what I see when in Exercise Mode (for RUN as an example, and on Pause) are only - Elapsed Time, Distance (km), Avg Pace, Zone Minutes, Avg Heart Rate, Max Heart Rate, Calories Burned, and # of Steps... no "Current Time"...  is this a feature not available on Luxe...?

@LizzyFitbit , thank you - I got it now!  Yes, I am able to see the current time in exercise mode by tapping the middle of the screen.  I didn't notice the stats changed by tapping...  Many thanks for your help!!

Hi - I've got a new Luxe and finding having TEN different 'stats' provided while in exercise mode is annoying.  I'd like to be able to customise these down to bare minimum.  I had same issue as @RKI - i did eventually find that the time is featured, BUT it takes many taps to cycle around to it while in workout mode.

On related topic I'd like to be able to customise some other features either OFF or into secondary screens, such as Notifications, Times, Alarms and Relax.  I just want to be able to start "Exercise" without cycling through all these other features.

Compared to the previous Charge HR which involved a single squeeze of the side button to start and stop a workout, the Luxe requires multiple taps through several screens to do this, and involves stopping to actually look at the screens to turn a workout on and off.  I preferred the simplicity of the side button on the Charge HR.  I'd be happier if Luxe offered greater customisability for those of us that just want bare minimum on our wrist, with more data available on the App as and when we want it.

@caro222 Welcome to the Community Forums.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback about the Luxe. I understand where you're coming from and I'm sorry for any inconvenience experienced while navigating through the screen. While it's not possible to customize the stats displayed during your exercise tracking, or the apps on your tracker, I'd encourage you to share this idea in the Feature Suggestions board so other members can vote for it, and it can also get the attention of our developers. We're always working to make Fitbit more useful for you, and the input we receive from our members is of great help.

Have a good day.

That feature isn't on the Luxe unfortunately. Honestly, I'm really disappointed with the Luxe features. I can't help but wonder if their developers did NOT user test their features. Some basic items are missing. And viewing a clock is one of them.

It is insane how they miss such an obvious need

Hello @Migbello and welcome to the Community.  I put my Luxe back on my account just to clarify this.  The current time, including the day of the week, is one of the middle stats on the Luxe screen when you use the Exercise app.  You just need to tap the middle screen to go through the available stats.

It's a shame that you can't customize the screen to get rid of the stats you don't want to see.

Thank you for your reply!

I got your advice, and it "works." Still, while swimming, it is
impossible to watch the current time.

Many people ask me what time it is, and I have to tell them that my device
does not allow me to know while swimming.

Do you know any other tips for that?
