How can I install a second fitbit luxe on my smartphone? One for me and one for my wife.

Thanks for your help,

Hi @jean-daniel you will both need your own email address and Fitbit account to do this. First, set up one of your devices and log out. Move that device out of range of the phone while setting up the next device. Since it's your phone, you'll want to stay logged in to get the benefits of the bluetooth notifications. When your wife is ready to sync, you'll log out. When your wife is finished syncing, then it's logged out for you to log in. It takes a bit of coordination to do this, but pretty easy once you get used to logging in and out. You can also check stats on the website dashboard.

Glad to see a couple doing this together! We're here if you need anything.

Sorry, but you cannot, in a practical sense.  Each fitbit needs its own Fitbit account.  And you can only have one fitbit account running at a time.

The only way on one phone would be to log out of your account, create a different fitbit account for your wife with a different email and set up 2nd luxe in that account, but then keep having to log out of one fitbit account and back into the other to sync and look at data on the phone.  I expect you would tire of that and get confused in a few days at most.  But if not, it could be done.  If you already have 2 Luxes, feel free to try.

Thanks for your help.
Would it be possible to install Fitbit on a laptop with windows? It seems that there is no more way to download Fitbit for windows anywhere. Is this situation helpless?

Hi @jean-daniel  no, the Windows app was discontinued October 13, 2022.  You can use your one phone to do what you want, but it does involve a bit of logging in and out. My previous post above is the only known workaround for you. Other than buying another smartphone and using it with wi-fi and not a cell service contract, there is no other way. Sharing a phone does work, I've done it myself before. Email addresses are easy to get. Give it a try, you can do this.

As @Odyssey13 noted, you can use with just wifi and download and use all apps, including Fitbit, if don't really have use for another phone, but before going ultra low-end, make sure the Android (or iOS) meets the Fitbit minimum number.  Having said that, I realize I don't know what that minimum version is.  Hopefully someone else will chime in with that info.
