I recently switched from Samsung Galaxy Fit to Fitbit Luxe and I noticed quite a considerable difference in how the distance is measured. It came as quite a shocker that my average running pace suddenly dropped by 30 sec/km when measured with Fitbit 😥
Also comparing with Google Maps distance, the Fitbit tends to show a shorter distance in all GPS-tracked routes, consistently. Has anyone else had this kind of experience?

It's not only Luxe. The distance is being measured using steps and stride (even if you use GPS). The stride may be automatically adjusted for the next run but if your GPS tracking won't be accurate then the stride length won't be correct. Anyway, this is how Fitbit does that (all devices). The algortihms used are not great (hence, that is just my opinion, Fitbit is rather poor choice when it comes to running).
