When I had the Charge 4, it vibrated while exercising when I got to fat burn, cardio, and peak heart rate levels. It also vibrated when I got to 10,000 steps. How do I get the Luxe to do the same as it is not vibrating at all when I exercise no matter which exercise I select? It does vibrate when I set the alarm to get up in the morning so I know vibrate works. So how do I do it for heart rate notifications and 10,000 steps? Please explain what to do on the app or the Luxe itself to make this happen. Thank you!

Here is an update!
@Julia_G suggested that I go back to the default with no high maximum heart rate and see what happens. I did that and still the vibrations did not return. I was very upset.
Then I really examined the app. While all I needed to do was put a new customized maximum heart rate, I also entered customized high & low heart rates under the “custom zone” field below it. That was the field in which there is a warning below it that if you input a customized zone, you will lose the vibration notifications. I had not noticed that warning. So I deleted the info I had typed in the custom zone field. I also looked at my settings on the Luxe tracker itself and saw that the AZM notifications were turned off. I clicked them back on.
Voilà!!
All vibration notifications returned! I still have a customized maximum heart rate in place but I have not touched the custom zone field. I tested these changes two days in a row including yesterday when I got to 20,000 steps and it vibrated for that too. So all is well and I am so very happy! I really do like the Luxe. I’m also thrilled that I can get 7 days out of the battery which exceeded my expectations. So I am a happy camper once again! 😉😎

Hi, @NewSuttonGirl , on your Luxe from the clock screen swipe left until you come to the Exercise app. Tap on any exercise and swipe up to find the exercise settings menu. There you will find the option to turn on or off Heart Zone notifications.
Note you will not get zone notifications if you have set custom heart rate zones in your app.
If you are not getting a notification when you achieve 10,000 steps please check in your app to make sure that you have set steps as your main goal and that the goal number of steps is 10,000. On your app on the opening screen click on the person photo/icon top left to take you to the Account screen. On the Account screen scroll down and click on “Activity and Wellness” and then choose “Daily activity”. Under steps make sure it says 10,000.
Next click the back arrows to return to the account screen and click on your Fitbit (In your case Luxe). On the Luxe screen please check that your Main Goal is set to steps.
Whenever you make any changes in your app, be sure to sync your Fitbit!
Once you have set all this you should now receive a celebration when you reach 10,000 steps.

Thank you for responding. I just swiped to the left to exercise & when I swiped up, nothing happened. There was nothing there. So I picked an exercise (walking) and swiped up. There was nothing there. It didn’t swipe up.
I’m surprised that customizing the maximum heart rate eliminates the vibrate functionality because more than ever, my maximum heart rate must be customized because I had a heart attack a year ago. My maximum heart rate must be lower than the default max. I need to know when I’m doing too much. I can’t keep looking at my wrist or the app. Are you sure that there is no vibrate functionality when the heart rate maximum is customized?

Hi, @NewSuttonGirl , I have double checked this on my own Luxe. You must first swipe to the Exercise app, tap on the exercise, and then swipe up. Swiping up will give you all the possible settings for that exercise - setting a goal (zone minutes, time, etc) settings (heart rate notifications, display always on, and GPS -where appropriate). So it should definitely be there. I would suggest swiping more firmly (my Luxe doesn’t always respond to my swipes).
For your other question re custom HR zones: you can check this in your app. From the opening, Today, screen click on the person photo/icon to go to the Account screen. On the Account screen scroll down to find “Activity and wellness”. On the next menu choose Heart Settings and then Heart Rate Zones. If you scroll down to the bottom of Heart rate zones you will find a note that says “If you set a custom zone, you won’t get on-wrist heart zone notifications during exercise.” So yes, I am absolutely certain of my information, although why it would be that way I can only speculate. Don’t shoot the messenger!
I hope this makes it clearer.

I did not mean to shoot the messenger! I’m so sorry! I just followed your instructions and see that I can swipe up and saw that heart rate notifications was on “off”. Thank you for that!
I will test it soon. I think it’s bonker that vibration is turned off when it is actually most needed but c’est la vie.

I just finished a walk and the notifications did not pop up when my heart rate went from fat burn, to cardio, & to peak. This is a real flaw.
On the positive side is I did not spend a lot of money on this. It was on sale for $89.99 & I had a $30 credit with Amazon. When the Charge 6 comes out or the new Luxe, I will check in advance to make sure that vibration alerts work with a customized maximum heart rate.
I wonder if it works for the Inspire 3.

Hi, @NewSuttonGirl , if you remove your Custom heart rate settings (and sync your Fitbit so that changes you have made in your app are transferred to your Fitbit) you will receive a vibration alert, and a notification, from your Luxe each time you move from one heart rate zone to another, as long as you have set up to have these notifications on your Fitbit (as explained in my earlier posts to you).
As I mentioned above, you will NOT receive these notifications if you have custom heart rate settings. That is true for ALL currently available Fitbit trackers and smart watches.
You also NEED to be in exercise mode to receive heart rate zone change notifications! So you cannot just go for a walk and expect it to happen. You need to start a walk exercise from your Luxe. Before you start your walk, swipe left on your Luxe until you come to the exercise app, find “walk” and tap to begin your activity. As you are walking you should feel vibrations and see alerts if you move through the heart rate zones (on a walk this may not happen, depending on how vigorously you walk, so you may stay in lower zones the whole time, so not receive notifications about moving to higher zones.)
If you simply take a walk without activating the exercise mode your Fitbit will track your exercise using its auto detection technology, but it will not send you heart rate notifications.
I know there is a lot to learn about using a Fitbit, but I hope these explanations are helping. It will definitely get easier as you see all the ways Fitbit can help. There are also many ways to customise it for you, but it isn’t perfect.
Since you would like to have these notifications I would definitely recommend NOT setting custom heart rate zones and working with the Fitbit defaults. You will then get the alerts you require and you can take the action that you know is right for YOU, based on what you are seeing in your Fitbit.
I hope this is all beginning to be a bit clearer and this is helpful, but please do keep posting with any further questions.

Julia, I really appreciate the time you are giving to help me!
What the reality is with my Luxe currently is that the vibrations only work for the alarm
I set in the morning. That’s it.
The Vibration no longer works whether on customized heart rate or default heart rate (I just tested default) for:
1. Reminders to move
2. When I move successfully at least 250 steps every hour for 8 hours (8am-4pm) after receiving the reminder to move which is what I set up. I don’t even see it on the tracker when I’ve walked all 8 hours — it used to light up in red.
3. When I reach my main goal which is 10,000 steps. I tested it at a lower number and it never vibrated when I reached that lower number. I also just reached 10,000 steps a few minutes ago after I reset it to 10,000 steps and there was no vibration. I verified that steps were my main goal.
4. When I change heart rate zones (fat burn, cardio, peak) whether in a custom heart rate, or the DEFAULT heart rate. I moved it back to default (and synced the app/tracker) and still no vibrations when I hit fat burn, cardio, and peak.
This problem of no more vibrations except for the alarm all started when I customized my heart rate maximum last week. This has me wondering since I have no more vibration for any of the above even when I returned to the default maximum heart rate, DID I SOMEHOW DISABLE ALL VIBRATIONS EXCEPT FOR THE ALARM? Is there a way to check to see if I screwed up something?

Hi, @NewSuttonGirl , you have made so many changes back and forth that I would suggest at this point just set up every thing the way you would like it to be and start a new day tomorrow, because it really is in a muddle now.
Set your exercise goal to steps and some number that you will definitely achieve tomorrow.
Turn off custom settings on heart rate, and tomorrow go for an exercise which you know will get your heart pumping and check that the vibrations work. Remember: you will only get these notifications when you have started an exercise in your app, not just exercising without manually initiating an activity in your app.
Your reminders to move will not work any hour if you have already taken 250 steps. So sit quietly for a whole hour. Sip coffee or tea, browse the internet… whatever you do, don’t take 250 steps. Check to see if at ten minutes to the hour you get an alert.
But honestly, start tomorrow with a fresh slate - it’s just getting too muddled! (And it is nearly bedtime in my timezone, so I am checking out now…). Good luck!

Muddled — that is a great descriptive word! I will do as you say and start anew tomorrow. I will test it for a few days and not make any changes from the default.
Thank you again for your help and sweet dreams!
