I HATE that I cannot set my alarms through my Apple phone app. Why was this removed?

I have a VERY difficult time setting and keeping my alarms on the Luce.  I would not have purchased this thing if I had known that you couldn’t set alarms through the phone app.  Why was this removed from the app for the Luxe version?  It is horrible!  I’m constantly accidentally turning off alarms and can’t set them properly because of the tiny screen and my fat fingers.  I am very disappointed that this was removed from the FitBit Apple App.

Hi @naedeigram  this was changed for all the Fitbit styles and was one of the most requested feature changes. I have the Luxe, too. You try using your pinky finger to set and dismiss alarms?

Actually for some strange reason Inspire 2, that has the same form factor of Luxe, needs to set alarm from the app and not from the device. Considering that the Luxe has a very tiny display (like the Inspire 2 but colored) it would make sense to make possible to set the alarm also from the app.

I couldn't find the feature request where users requested the alarm setting to be moved from app to the device (so I can't see how many people asked it) but I can find the opposite where users are asking to bring back the possibility to the app. The suggestion has 700 votes and it has been locked by Fitbit as not planned, despite the claim to listen the users.

Is it so difficult to make it possible from both the app and the device??

It’s difficult to get out of the alarm once I’ve made changes.  I just dislike this.  I don’t understand why they would remove the ability to use the app to change alarms.  I’ve used FitBit for years, but I’m now looking for another option due to this missing feature.  I’m also telling my family and friends about this.  It is not user friendly.  I’ve missed several alarms because my fingers hit something wrong on the tiny screen. I am very disappointed in this product.

Are they saying that it was a requested feature to do it from the watch? It's hard to believe that. Please Fitbit, bring back the ability to set it from the app also. I can't see the screen on the watch well enough to properly set the alarm and even when I think it's done correctly, it's not.

I agree. I came here to find support on how to change the alarm through the app, but I guess that functionality was removed! The Luxe watch face is too small to expect someone to change alarms through the watch face especially when most likely they are about to sleep. I also can’t really understand how to turn off the alarm when it goes off.

Maybe people requested the ability to change the alarm through the watch face, but I doubt they meant take the functionality out of the app on the phone. Most people don’t have that much dexterity on their pinky finger.  Also, it isn’t just a finger size issue either, it is hard to see the screen.
