I have a pretty severe nickel allergy. I currently wear an Inspire HR, but am having to use a cheesy replacement band due to the broken pin area that so many people have had issues with. I hate the band, but I have no choice since it will not work with a Fitbit band now. I am looking on getting something new now, and while I like the looks of the Luxe, I see that it has a metal buckle. If there is nickel in there, that's a deal breaker for me. The Inspire 3 looks like it would be fine, but I prefer the smaller footprint of the Luxe, so just hoping for some feedback on this.

Hi, @Chess this is the information from the Luxe manual:
“Materials
The housing on Luxe is made of surgical-grade stainless steel. The band that comes with Luxe is made of a flexible, durable silicone similar to that used in many sports watches, and the buckle is anodized aluminum. While all stainless steel and anodized aluminum can contain traces of nickel, which can cause an allergic reaction in someone with nickel sensitivity, the amount of nickel in all Fitbit products meets the European Union's stringent Nickel Directive.”
Here is the information about the Inspire HR - the Fitbit you have been wearing:
“Materials
The housing on Inspire HR is plastic. The Inspire HR classic wristband is made of a premium, comfortable silicone similar to that used in many sport watches, and the buckle is made of anodized aluminum. While anodized aluminum can contain traces of nickel, which can cause an allergic reaction in someone with nickel sensitivity, the amount of nickel in all Fitbit products meets the European Union's stringent Nickel Directive.”
So the buckle on the two devices is exactly the same. The difference in materials is in the housing of the device - Inspire HR is plastic, and Luxe is stainless steel.
On the other hand, the Inspire 3 is entirely plastic - housing and buckle, so might be safest for you.
You mention that you prefer the smaller footprint of the Luxe. It is true that the Luxe is very slightly smaller, but I don’t find there is much in it. For comparison I have photgraphed my wrist with both devices. The Fitbit on the left is the Inspire 3 and on the right the Luxe.
I hope this helps!
