Luxe Clock Face Error and Syncing Error

Hello! I just received my Luxe as a birthday gift. I literally charged it up for the first time an hour ago. As soon as I downloaded the FitBit app (iOS 14.6) and tried to set up my new Luxe, it told me there was a Luxe update, so I attempted to download and install it. It took 2 tries to install.

I tried to change the clock face and it keeps saying “Cannot connect to device”. If I leave that screen and return, it tells me apps didn’t finish syncing and do I want to continue? My Luxe screen says “Clock error. Go to the Fitbit  app and try another clock”. I’ve tried to pick a clock face. It shows me the ‘switching’ screen and never progresses. Then it tells me over and over that it can’t connect/finish syncing or installing.

I’ve turned the Bluetooth on and off. I’ve “forgotten” the Bluetooth connection. I’ve closed out of the app and reopened it. I’ve made sure the app and the Luxe are both up to date. I’ve restarted my Luxe from the settings screen and with the button on the charger. I’ve disconnected my Luxe from the app and re-setup the device. Nothing has fixed the clock face error.

All I want is a clock face. This is unacceptable. It shouldn’t be this difficult to set up a device. We should be able to see a clock face.

is anyone else struggling with this? It’s a brand new device.

Hi Newluxe

This is my fourth Fitbit and although I love how it looks, so far it is by far the worst performing of the four.

I had problems with the clock too - tried a couple and decided on the first one I tried but when I returned to it it had shrunk! This makes it difficult to read.

Also the Luxe is very slow to respond when I want to use it and the auto wakeup hardly ever works. No sound to let me know I have a notification, no water prompt which I had set up.

I am finding it very difficult to navigate through the options due to the response from the screen being so slow.

If I were to post a review of the Luxe, as things stand it would be highly critical and I would not advise anyone to buy it. Shame, as I said I really love the look and feel of it but at the end of the day performance is by far the most important feature and so far I feel that it has failed to live up to Fitbit's promises.

I just got my new Luxe and it won’t let me install a new clock face either.
