Luxe Firmware Update 194.61

7/13 Update: We’re continuing to roll out this firmware for the Luxe Firmware Update 194.61, and expect more customers are able to update their devices. This is a progressive rollout and all customers can expect to have it within a few weeks. We release updates in phases so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed. If you don't see the option to update, don't worry - you'll have it soon!


We’re excited to announce that a firmware update version 194.61 for Luxe will be available soon! Some of you might already have this update available. If you installed it, let us know what you think!

We release updates to customers in phases. If you don’t see it, check the Fitbit app in a few days, and you’ll see a message when you can install the update. We appreciate your patience while we get this update to all of our customers.

*Firmware releases are not distributed based on region or location and can reach anyone no matter where you reside. We do not recommend performing a factory reset to force the update to your device as your data will be lost and you may not get the update. Please be patient and wait until you see the update banner inside of the Fitbit app to begin the firmware download.

The new app?!?!?! Seriously 🤔  It would be nice if you would fix the bugs before launching the new app.  My Luxe has turned into a paperweight! The Luxe is now totally useless! How do I know if the app is even worthwhile if you can't even roll out an update to repair ongoing problems?  

I think Fitbit needs to listen to users before asking to comment on an updated app!!

I have to say at first I was not a fan of new dashboard and am still not BUT I have to say the improvement for stats in exercise showing % and time spent in zones IS the 1 great improvement.

Hi, Eduardo. May I suggest that you acknowledge what people are trying to tell you? Sure, the new look and feel are (unfortunately) here to stay. However, users have been very specific about the lost features that need to be restored i.e. battery level, current heart rate/zones, etc.

Instead of issuing empty platitudes, what you need to be working hard at is communicating the needs of your user community to the proper command level.

I'm glad to see after yesterday's update, there is a battery level showing on app now. Not as prominent as before but it's something. Admittedly I'm adapting to and liking new dashboard.

Howevet, I've noticed h20 intake hasn't been calculating correcting i.e. this week I had 72oz water daily but the daily avg showing only 51.7.

Hi, I like the new design though am disappointed in battery life being unviewable. 

Zone minutes are not being calculated correctly. I have multiple exercises where incorrect minutes are displaying. I've gotten 17 zone minutes despite only spending 3 mins in an active zone, and have not received double zone minutes during vigorous exercise. 

Wish there was more testing. Design is good, functionality is not. 👎

It's October, and I still have not received the firmware update. The promised "within a few weeks" stated above in June (and again in July) has not been realized. My battery doesn't last a day, and I can attach the charger, detach and reattach and get two wildly different battery percentages (from critical at 4% to 64% in under 30 seconds? I don't think so).
The app update exaggerates active minutes. That might not mean much to some, but how can I properly plan meals and exercise to lose weight if my tracker is lying to me?
It fails to sync, and the battery percentage is no longer visible, although since it's seldom accurate, I'm not sure that it matters.

I've been a loyal Fitbit user for years, but I have had enough.
I have had enough of being treated as though I'm not important enough to receive the firmware update promised in June.
I have had enough of battery issues and wasted time contacting customer service.
Enough of the "new" app constantly misrepresenting active minutes and wondering why I'm not losing weight when the tracker says I should have. Weight loss is a challenging enough pursuit without being sabotaged by my faulty tracker.  

What's happened to you, Fitbit?

I find it sad that we were getting more information and syncing was easy before moving to Google and paying for something that really does not work. I don't even like this Luxe watch anymore.

My luxe is still on firmware 188.58 and its been 4 months I've since got a versa 4 as you were too slow getting the firmware update to my luxe
