Luxe alarms won't go off

I have previously owned 2 charge 2’s, this is my 3rd fitbit, its also the first one to disappoint me. I use my fit bits to track my sleep and my steps and as an alarm. This one is teacking my sleep and steps but try as i might i cant get my alarm to work. I only bought it on thursday and the last 2 days have been spent googling fixes. The dnd and sleep mode are both off, i have set the alarm for daily at 7:30 am but so far no alarm on friday, saturday or today. Has anyone had experience of this and know what i need to do or is it a return?  My screen also doesn't seem to work when its sets to screen awake, its a bit hit and miss with that one, not sure if theres a connection there. Any advice would be very welcome. Thank you

Hi there, @Tilli121. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Luxe before reaching out. I understand where your concern is coming from. I'm sure I can help!

As @AdelineCh has suggested, please try removing the alarm and then adding it once again. You can find instructions on how to remove alarms by clicking here. Basically what you want to do is:

  1. Sync your Fitbit to your account.
  2. Restart your Luxe.
  3. Remove the alarm.
  4. Sync your Fitbit.
  5. Add the alarm.
  6. Since once more.

Then they should start working. Please give it a try and let me know how it goes, I'll be glad to continue assisting you.

Also, keep in mind that If you're using Smart Wake, that would explain why the alarm is going off before the schedule time. Smart Wake attempts to find the best time to wake you starting 30 minutes before the alarm time you set. It avoids waking you during deep sleep so you're more likely to wake up feeling refreshed. If Smart Wake can’t find the best time to wake you, your alarm alerts you at the set time. For more information, see How do I manage alarms on my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps.

I have tried re syncing my fit bit. I made sure dnd and sleep mode was off, still nothing, i changed my clock screen and turned the vibration to strong and  next day it worked. I have had 4 days where my alarm has worked, yeah! Then this morning woke up 1 hour after my alarm should have gone off, when i looked at my Fitbit the alarm setting was off, does it reset weekly, please  tell me you dont have to set it week by week. Im so regretting buying this Luxe

Hi did all the above. Didnt work, Then changed my clock face and turned the vibration to strong and the alarm worked for 4 days, this morning No Alarm! Arghhh! So i slept in. Checked my alarm settings and they were set to off.. i hadnt done this so either its easy to accidently do this moving about in your sleep or you have to re set the alarms weekly?  My charge  2 was stayed in the setting until you physically changed it yourself, please tell me you dont have to reset it each week. My charge 2 has a cracked  screen (again) and thats the only reason i bought the Luxe but i am so regretting buying it but i can see this luxe being thrown in a drawer and my going back to the damaged charge 2

It gets worse, my fit bit app has now shown me notifications that i was walking round my garden this morning, apparantly i was walking for just over a mile at 11:20am. I wasnt, i was sat having a coffee, also at 5:20pm i did a 15 minute swim?!   I was having my dinner in my kitchen.... not liking this fit bit ☹️

So my alarms have worked since my last post. However, this morning no alarm again. The last time my alarm woke me up was before the clocks went forward, this is despite my alarms showing as being set and me not doing anything to the watch other than wear it. Can anyone offer any more advice on this please. Is this another glitch on  this awful watch? That it cant handle an automatic time change?  I really regret not returning this fitbit to the store weeks after buying it, but i just assummed after the charge being so easy to use that i wasnt setting it right. I know one thing it will be my last ever fitbit product, its put me off buying anything else from them

Just re read your post from last year, re smart awake. I would  have been happy with any sort of alarm. My alarm wasnt waking me early. It was set for 7:30 daily but didnt go  off at all

Good morning Tilli121,

I had an issue as well yesterday morning, my alarm didn't work at all!

I restarted it manually and it worked again.

I hope this can help you.

Hello,

I am also having this issue. I tried all of your steps and it worked for a day. The alarm is now malfunctioning again. It still shows that my alarm is set, but when the time comes, nothin. It looks like the original poster is still having the issue, which is a huge bummer.

thanks,

laura

hello Laura,

The same here ; since this morning my alarm stoped working again.

Start to be so ridiculous that I'm thinking of buying an Apple watch and throw this one in the bin.

From 1 day to an other I can be late at work because of that !

Fibit compagnie doesn't seems very concerned about it...

I have this felling that as soon as you gave your money they don't give a s**t about they product and if they are working properly or not

We are on the same brain wave! I can integrate an Apple Watch with my home gym too.

So alarms stopping randomly seems to be a big issue. Mine worked great since December and now none work. I’ve deleted them and added them back. I’ve added practice ones to see if they go off. Nothing. This is a big problem. I need a fix please!  Or a replacement Fitbit. I upgraded at Christmas and am regretting this right now.

I just gave up. No one at Fitbit cared and they did nothing but keep telling me to do the same thing over and over again and it never worked. I just returned it and will not buy another Fitbit again.

Well here we go again, i cant remember when my alarms last went off. Its not syncing on either my phone or ipad, the last time my steps tracked was 10 May, sleep on 9 May. I charged it on Tuesday and now the clock is almost 4 hours out. I cant get into my app to change the time and it wont restart. Fed up doesnt come close, i wish id never bought this thing its a piece of junk. Not fit for purpose, i have contacted  fit bit who suggested the help site and community forum and theres also a link for online claim form, thats the next thing so lets see what happens.

Are you sure that you put your alarm correctly?  I am a new user and have been with the fitbit for 3 days and the Luxe does not disappoint

Best Answer

Yes it was in correctly, was working fine then just stopped  and hasnt gone off for about 2 weeks, alarm set, dnd off. I even deleted the alarm the reset it, when this happened originally i changed the click face as advised and it worked.  Today couldnt reset as phone and ipad not syncing. Did the chat thing this aft, on there for 45 minutes, eventually got it to sync, been told to give it 24 hours and see if alarm wakes me in the morning, if it doesnt i have a reference number and they will pick up the tech support and try something else, will probably be getting back to them as although the steps have synced im still not showing sleep results since 9 may. Good luck with yours, maybe they have improved them but the first batch seem to be unfit for purpose,

Well my alarm went off this morning, lets see how long this lasts, still no sleep scores though, as i became a bad sleeper through the menopause thats one of the reasons i bought my first fitbit and why i replaced it with another so no sleep score is a biggie for me, tips anyone please? I wasted 4 hours of my morning plus 45 mins on chat in the afternoon yesterday so not touching it now without hints/tips first. Thanks

My alarms turn off randomly too. I have to delete all the alarms and reset them again. Pretty annoying when it’s a basic function for a watch. I shouldn’t have to set my phone alarm too as a failsafe in case my band doesn’t go off in the morning. Or any time of day 😞
