Luxe and Fitbit Connect for Mac?

Has anyone had success connecting their luxe to the connect app for Mac? I've tried restarting, plugging my device in, and adjusting my bluetooth settings but it won't show up as an option. Talking to support was not very helpful and I was wondering if anyone else is struggling with this issue.

Hi @mwhr  set up information for the Luxe is here - click to read. These newer devices require us to set up via a compatible iOS or Android, so check this article on trouble setting up. What did support say and which iOS are you running?

I have my Luxe set up with an iPhone that's on iOS 14.7, and have been trying to connect it to my macOS Big Sur 11.5. Support said it's not an option but did not provide details as to why.

You need iOS 13 or higher to use it - article. I'm not sure support would know the "why" but they do know what is considered compatible. My older Android phone doesn't work, but my newer one does.

@mwhr   Here is the reason you can't connect your Luxe to your Mac.  You downloaded Fitbit Connect, hoping to sync with your Mac.  The Luxe isn't compatible with Fitbit Connect.  Fitbit ended all compatibility between new devices and Fitbit Connect a few years ago.

I peeked at your profile and I see that you are a new user.  When you sync your Luxe, all of your data is stored on the Fitbit servers.  It isn't stored on your phone.  You can see your data on the web dashboard after you sync.  The Luxe, like all current models, is optimized to work with the mobile app. You can see a lot of data on the web dashboard, but you can't see everything.  The Sleep Score and Health Metrics aren't available on the web dashboard.  Also, the Luxe awards active zone minutes for activity.  The web dashboard hasn't been updated to show zone minutes.  It displays active minutes.
