Luxe battery is draining quickly after the update

Just recently updated my fitbit firmware and the battery drain is out of control.  I can barely get through a day without needing a charge, whereas I could go a week beforehand.  All my brightness settings are set to dim and default wake setting.  I don't see anything in settings that would help remedy this.

Hi there, @jeancampany8274. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Luxe.

In addition to the steps you've tried so far, please restart your Luxe as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device?. Additionally, try to change your clock face to a one developed by Fitbit and monitor your Luxe's battery for the next couple of days to see if the issue persists.

Same! Mine loses 20% battery an hour and I’ve done all the resetting. 😭

This seemed to have helped somewhat.  It does look as if the is a battery reporting error.  The first day after the reset it stayed at 72% all day.  Next day I put it on charger and charge to 100%.  Within two hours is was back toe 71%.  So seems like something isn't reporting correctly.  In the mean time I am charging this during showers just because it jumps 30% charge randomly.

Just finished my morning workout.  Battery charge shows 13% well crap.  At least it didn't die in the middle of workout.

Put it on the charger and it is magically up to 81%.  The last update messaged up charge readings!  It no longer can get accurate battery information.

Came to forums to see if others were having similar problems since the firmware update and it looks like you are too. My issues are somewhat different though. my Luxe with go through 35% of battery in 24 hours. I will charge it to 100% and by the end of the next day it's around 65%. On top of that it's taking 2-3 times as long to charge than it was before. Like before I could charge it from near death to full in only a couple hours and now it takes atleast 3 hours to charge 30%. I have no idea what fitbit did, but this is so obnoxious I've been looking around at other brand fitness watches.

Mine is very similar charging as well.  It takes a long time to charge and no long can go a day that I feel comfortable without charging becuse the drain consistency is all over the place.

Same here. It's very annoying 😒

I too am having trouble with my Fitbit Luxe, I am using a Fitbit Clock Face developed by Fitbit and have updated the software.  Whereas I used to get 5 days, I now only get two.  My old Fitbit Alta was brilliant and I didn't have this issue.  The only reason I changed to the Luxe was to have an updated model.

How can I resolve this issue, apart from sending it back to you?

Hi!

I tried everything you suggested and it did not solve my issue. Is there any way to revert back to the previous firmware?

Thanks!

I've always had the official Fitbit faces so that isn't the issue for me.  I'm wearing my Inspire 2 as my solution to the Luxe drain issue.

I wish they would update the firmware back to previous version.  At this point the battery drain issue is so bad that wearing the Luxe fitbit is not usable as it is.  I can barely make it 24 hrs without needing to recharge.

Really sucks because previous to the update I could go at least 5 days without a charge.

Just ordered a Garmin as it seems they are not fixing this issue. 😐

It's so annoying, so many Luxe owners are having issues with draining batteries, like myself, and Fitbit seem to ignore it.  Am seriously thinking about going back to my old Alta Fitbit.

Has anyone actually had a helpful response from Fitbit?

We have three fitbit Luxe watches in our family and all of them exhibit this behavior. I have reset all of them, screen to dim, turned off notifications, put default clocks, basically all advice that I read here on the forums. However all our Luxe watches exhibit the same behavior. Battery charge is all over the place. I have recharged my Luxe 3 hours ago and now it is at 82%. I went to sleep with 47% of battery and in the morning my Luxe was dead, I tried hard reset few times, but it did not help. Once the battery was showing 90% percent after one reset it was down to 20% and it died after an hour. Before the last update I was able to run my Luxe for a week without problems, now it is becoming useless, as we cannot rely on it, it always needs charging and this kind of operation, will just damage batteries in them. Can I revert to the previous version of firmware?

This is exactly the same thing going on with mine.  So frustrating 😫
