I've had my Luxe for just over two years and I feel that that is the normal lifespan of Fitbit watches. The Luxe started becoming unresponsive about three weeks ago. Since then, I have reset it with the charge cable, changed clock face then back again, let it completely discharge and charged it, reset it back to factory settings, uninstalled & reinstalled the app and paired it to my phone again. As a last resort, I've turned off all notifications and mirrors to my phone. Now, it's at the point that once I reset it with the charger within 10 minutes it's unresponsive again. Are there any other suggestions I may have missed aside from getting a new watch? If I have to buy a new watch, I probably won't be a Fitbit as I've come to the conclusion they only last 2 years or so and that is a bit ridiculous to have to buy a new smart watch every two years.

I’m having the same issue as well after the same-ish timeline. Hoping this is a solution rather that a replacement. It’s the battery dying mid workout that gets me 😢

I'm having the same issue! And from looking in this forum and online, so are a lot of people. Mine is just over 2 years old. I got it to replace my Charge which gave me a significant burn on my wrist. Really not impressed with the quality of these products!

I am also having the same issues and have been problems ever since I moved the account to Google (January 2025) which I am convinced is where the actual problem lies as they actually want people to purchase the Google Pixel Watch. Google acquired Fitbit in 2021 and gave all users until 2025 (this has now changed to 2026) to migrate their accounts. It would be interesting to see if other users starting experiencing these issues once they migrated their accounts. I have changed the clockface. Have turned off all notification alarms, as I noticed that it sometimes turned itself off when I had an incoming call or had reached my step count. The battery percentage seems to be constantly incorrect, one minute it will tell you its 20% then you restart it and suddenly is 75%. My luxe is about 2.5 years old. I also have a tiny wrist so like the size of the Luxe but it is becoming more and more frustrating that it keeps dying at random times. And whilst you can manually add exercises you can't add zone minutes or Cardio load so makes completely unrealistic readings.

I had the same problem, and tried all the same things. I finally put my watch in a bag of rice for several days, since I thought it might be a moisture issue. This seems to have fixed the problem! Charged up my watch, and it turned on automatically. Slept with it on last night, and it’s still working this morning, and battery is holding its charge!

This just happened to me this morning in the middle of a run. It's about time for me to move on and look for an alternative.

Same. I just stopped looking at it but was wearing to track activity. But now the whole back cover came off and won’t stay on!

I agree and I’m glad someone else has said this. I had zero issues with my Fitbit until I merged it to Google. It feels as if they are forcing it to crash through the software in order to require users to get a new device. Mine worked perfectly until now. Now, it random shuts off after I turn off sleep mode, try to log an exercise, or do other simple functions. When I plug it in, it shows the Fitbit logo and then says the battery is somewhere in the 70%-93% range. Then it works fine for 12 hours or so and shuts off again. The only way to revive it is to plug it up. When not on the charger, it continues to say the battery life is fine and doesn’t again sometime later. My last Fitbit lasted over 5 years and was still working when I got a new one because I chose to due to design/functionality. If they were $40-$50, I wouldn’t be so frustrated about this!

Agreed about Google’s handling of Fitbit.
I’m to the point where I am so totally fed up with how they’re managing Fitbit, I’m ready to chuck the Fitbit and find a manual step counter.
I’m one day away from reaching the ten 5k/month (via my ins co’s deal with Fitbit—I get $10/mo if I reach a minimum of ten days at 5+K—and I can’t get it to register any more than 14 steps (already 11am!). I can’t even figure out how to reset the app—nothing straight-forward about google’s set up.
Yeah, I’m old, but relatively tech savvy. <grrr>
