Luxe crashed updating firmware

Tried as suggested to update the firmware on my partners Luxe, it has now frozen with 3/4 of the update line across the screen. Have attempted the reboot several times using the power lead button, but just  comes straight backk on with the white line again. Any suggestions before I bin it and buy a samsung one instead? It is only 13 months old
