Luxe ends my workout early

When I go for a walk or run outside and wear long sleeves they apparently pause and end my workout before I'm done. I had to repeatedly start my run again but it kept ending. Is there a way to lock the screen during a workout?

Currently, there is no option to lock the screen of the Fitbit Luxe during a workout, but I would recommend checking if Auto Pause is turned off. You can find this setting by selecting the exercise you'll perform and scroll down to the bottom of the screen.

 

In addition, you can restart your Fitbit Luxe by following these instructions.

 

Then, please track a workout to see if the issue was resolved.

I do not have “Auto Pause” in my iOS app or on the Luxe device. What do I do?

@Rich_Laue My issue is that I yesterday started a workout and when I checked to see my heart rate, I saw that my Luxe was just in the process of restarting itself and thus had stopped the workout.

 

A few minutes later I noticed that the Luxe apparently froze for several minutes. The heart rate showed a low value and did not change, although I was working out and was out of breath. My other two non-Fitbit trackers (chest strap and wrist band) showed a hear rate that is consistent with being out of breath.

I have found on three occassions in the last 2 weeks that manually starting for an exercise session the Lux has auto ended.  I am sure of it now as I specifcally check this morning.  I did an hour but the Lux ended after 19 mins.  Remember this is me manually starting the exercise and it ending by itself.

Log into your Dashboard on a computer and click on settings.  Then if you go to your Luxe it has the option to edit auto pause.

Been like this since day 1.  Also, not sure if there is a difference but it doesn't pause, it stops.


It just did it again this morning.  I manually started my exercise on the Luxe at 6am.  I select Pilates as that is nearest to Tai chi.  Finished at 7am.  Went to end the exercise but it had already stopped.  Not paused, stopped.  It had gone 19 minutes before ending.  Please, if there is a setting I am missing advise me.  But not to check if I have auto pause on (see above).  Otherwise this feels like a software bug.


This is starting to become ridiculous.

I started some Tai Chi at 6:07pm and the Luxe tracked it for 15 minutes.  All auto pause is disabled and again it just completely stopped and ended the tracking 15 mins in.  I did not make contact with the device at all.

 

Please tell me what setting there is that could automatically stop tracking of a manually started session.

I would like to clarify, the Auto Pause can be found on the Fitbit Luxe once you've selected the exercise you want to perform, then scroll down to find it.

Actually, I have had a better idea.  I am returning it to Amazon who have accepted.

I reset it on Wednesday night and Thursday and Friday were fine.  Today it ended the workout after 17 mins.  Not a product I can trust.
